Injections....help me understand

Hey everyone,

My nurse gave me my first injection by pinching the fat skin above my

leg muscle and injecting into that pinch. Everything I read has said

that it should be injected into the muscle itself. What are the

negative effects of just injecting into my fat/skin? When she was

done, some of it oozed out into the open. She injected 1ml, which I

understand is 200mg of Cyp. It seems logical that even just under my

skin would have effect as the Androgel I was taking was just absorbed

into my skin, but I want to have maximum effect and not just partial.

This is the first 24 hours after my injection, and I have felt pretty

bad this night. What is the average testosterone level for a typical

person on shots at day 1 of 100mgs? Maybe since she gave me 1ml, 2x my

prescribed dose, I am either too high, or converting T to E. If that

is true...I should start feeling better towards the middle to end of

this week, and next week I will inject with .5ml. I just want to do it

right.

Hey

First it is way to early to make any judgements about your treatment. If you

look at the absorbtion curves for injections, you increase for the first 42-72

hours. The peak value will vary but a ball park for 200 mg would be ~ 1500

ng/dl. It then will fall steadily till your next shot. Depending on how long you

have suffered low T, it may take a couple weeks before you start seeing the

affects.

I think most are injecting IM and not under the skin. Are you sure she did a

sub-q? If it was a big pinch she probably went into the muscle.

her pinching the skin is what my nurse use to do but she was using a 1.5 "

lg. needle so she told me she did this so the needle will not go so deep into

the muslce. Most Dr.'s office's use this size needle and shot it into our butt.

I feel your fine and your feeling the way you are is just your body trying to

adjust to the shot. I don't feel at this time you can have an E2 problem unless

you had one before the shot did they test it I don't remember. But you should

feel much better by tomorrow. Can you tell us how your feeling that is bad.

44 is high I don't feel well at this level and this can be why your feeling the

way you are try getting some Indolplex/DIM it's OTC and I had dam good luck on

it for a long time.

Also take some Zinc/Copper every morning this is good for men and helps keep

E2 down.

If you try the Indolplex/DIM only take one tablet a day at dinner when it

works you will get come dam hard morning wood this means you levels came down

keep taking it but if wood stops stop the Indolplex/DIM until wood comes back

then go back on it but cut the tablet in half and use this as a gauge to not go

to low.

I now can say that you do need to get your E2 down I had a mess of info about

this and the sites that were real good about how you feel when this is high

don't work anymore. But your feeling like this is high E2 and you will sleep

much better when you get this down. Here are some links I have that stilll

Good point doing more then 50mgs of DHEA in men will drive up E's.

Chris-

You should release the chunk of flesh just -before- withdrawing the

needle. That way it shouldn't bleed. You can usually feel a T shot in

about 24-48hr although I've felt relief within an hour or two if my

levels were really low.
