Guest guest
this tells me the gels don't work for you this happens to a lot of men. Seeing a Endo to me is not good they are not good Dr.'s for low T. All you need to do is go to shots start at 100mgs a week. Your E2 is so low because your T levels are so low. This is not rocket science. The gels are not getting through your skin simple as that. <willie6532@...> wrote: Okay, I have been on testim 1.5-2 tubes for about 3 months. My T was 200 and E2 less than 20. I dont understand why I cannot get my levels up. I was 151 on 1 tube before this. I did make an appointment with a new endocrine doctor to get a different oppinion. What tests do you think he will order bc I would like to get them done before going to see him. -dave Co-Moderator " Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. Guest guest
Phil, I understand what you are saying concerning the endocrine doctor but they do specialize in this. I go to a urologist which in turn he has to talk to his Physician assistant to get what i need. I have asked for shots many many many times and he will not give them to be bc he says that the changes in the hormones from up to down are too eratic and he wont do it. So the only other option is to go and see a different doctor which i am doing. I have to drive 2 hrs to see one so that is what i am going to do. -dave Okay, I have been on testim 1.5-2 tubes for about 3 months. My T was > 200 and E2 less than 20. Guest guest
if Endo's specialize in testing and treating low T why are so many of us not getting any treatment with them. They are not specialized in this but in low sugar and I don't think they are all that good at this. I have wasted so much money and time with them that it's a shame 7 Endo's and my wife for her Thyriod seen many and never got good treatment. I was told I am depressed and my wife was told to lose weight how the hell do you get someone with a bad Thyriod to lose weight. They are range nuts if your in any part of the range your ok. Shots this is a joke he is thinking about doing shots ever 4 weeks or every 2 weeks. There are no big ups and downs on doing them everyweek. Yes do find a new Dr. read in the files section " Finding a New Male Hormone Dr. " call and ask questions a lot of them. <willie6532@...> wrote: Phil, I understand what you are saying concerning the endocrine doctor but they do specialize in this. Guest guest
Phil, I am going to go ahead and see this new doctor for a second opinion and that is it. I still have my appointment with my urologist in 2 weeks. I take different medications which also may cause this. I was taking Protonix(GERD) and my levels were normally high and I switched to Nexium and now my levels are low. Maybe it is that or maybe something else. I dont know. Im just tired of this game and really want to get my levels back to normal. I have wasted alot of money trying to get this to work. I can only try other doctors to find one that will treat me right!! -Dave Okay, I have been on > testim 1.5-2 tubes for about 3 months. My T was > > 200 and E2 less than 20. Guest guest
You should know that PPI meds slow the metabolization of estradiol. PPI meds aren't a class of drug I'd trust over the long term. I'll suggest you also join the GERDSUPPORT group. Okay, I have been on > > testim 1.5-2 tubes for about 3 months. My T was > > > 200 and E2 less than 20. SHots under the old regimen of one shot every two or three weeks created a roller coaster of rising and falling T levels. But now most of us get 1 shot a week and cut the dose accordingly and do quite well. The peak is lower and the valley higher, it's a narrower acceptable range for most of us. Gels have their own issues. Thick skin, hair etc. stop their absorbtion for many. I took them for a year or so and they worked initially, but then my levels fell away as the skin thickened and application areas grew hair. i went back to shots, but with the more frequent schedule. I much prefer it. And it's way way cheaper. ----- " Anyone who has the power to make you believe absurdities has the power to make you commit atrocities. Guest guest
Well I went to the endocrinologist today. He sent me more some more lab work and a MRI of the brain. He wants to confirm that it is secondary hypogonadism. I explained that I am still tired, low sex drive and still use levitra for erections. I have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks to get a bone density scan and to see him. He still wants me to continue Testim until he can verify that it is hypogonadism. We shall see. I was off my medication today and fell really really tired. Sometimes doctors dont understand what you are going through when you tell them all these things....even endo, urologist or your PCP. I know what I want and I want shots and I told him that today. -Dave > > > > >Phil, > > > >I understand what you are saying concerning the endocrine doctor but > >they do specialize in this. Guest guest
Hi Dave Looks like you are on the right track. I had to do exactly what you did to get to the bottom of my low T. Good for you for fighting for your health! Sometimes it takes a few loud exchanges to get the ball rolling. LOL! After you have your blood work and MRI done its not a bad idea to prove that the results are right by going on a clomiphene test or a HCG shot to see if your secondary or primary.
