Thank you all very much for your help and support. For informational

purposes today I took my mother to her primary MD as a follow-up for

her last hospital visit, of course I used the time to bombard him with

questions. Other than the ususal " Alternative options are not proven "

response, he did say that he and other doctors are beginning to open up

to the idea of exploring other, non-traditional, options.

He said she had developed Thrush from the nebulizer treatments in the

hospital, so that has not helped her appetite, so gave her antibiotics.

He also gave her a stronger anti-D med Lomotil. But this is what is

interesting...he put her on Maritol (spelling), medicinal weed, to help

her get the munchies.

Later this afternoon I talked to a rep from the Cancer Treatment

Centers of America in Philly. He was appalled that the specialist here

treated my mom like she was a statistic and then told me how they

celebrate 5 year survivors of stage IV lung cancer all the time...He

looked at my list of herbs and such and said they use them all, and

many others. Should we make the appt. and go see them? I would

appreciate any thoughts on this.
