Guest guest
FYI - My husband has a PhD in chemical engineering and he will not allow anything that generates ozone into our home. I don't understand the technology but he says it is not safe. ileostomy4me wrote: 20 years ago a company selling ozone generators asked to place one in my chiropractic office. I prudently placed it in the back part of the office where only myself and my staff would be exposed to it for the most part. My Office manager developed a return of horrific migraines, I had a resurgence of sinus allergies and the first indications that I had bronchial asthma. Fast forward to current usages...I went to a seminar where a chiropractor was touting and selling ozonating devices for oxygenation of drinking water...he claimed he had lost his hair suddenly from unknown causes, and (at this seminar he did have a thin layer of hair)was growing it back, plus it had cured his arthritis making it possible for him to return to adjusting patients full time...etc. >OK, now I heard a report that the FDA was warning people about ozone > generating machines causing folks to have 1st stage smog alerts right in their very own homes! I've had lung cancer mets, currently suffer from Aspergillus Fumigatus in my lungs following lung surgery. I have been exposed several times to ozone generating machines and THEY ARE VERY BAD FOR MY LUNGS! Instant wheezing, congestion for hours...I think they may have a use for killing microbes as long as humans stay out of the area while the machine is in use. Ozone does kill microbes and fungus...but should not be used in close proximity to people, especially those with respiratory problems! This goes ditto for negative ion generators, they are very irritating to the sinus's and respiratory surfaces of all creatures! Killed the house plants in my office years ago! >RLT works, diet works, faith works, research is important, surviving >is necessary to affirm what works! Guest guest
Thanks for this warning. One thing on negative ion generators -- I think you'll find that if you have experienced unwanted effects from an ioniser it was probably because the unit was putting out ozone. All negative ion generators produce ozone at the " sparK " -- I think it is called the corona discharge effect or something -- but the well-engineered units produce only TINY amounts. Some cheapo machines produce a TON of ozone and some, so I've been told, are actually ozone generators even though they are sold as neg ion machines. The good ones are well worth the money. Simon. Guest guest
Breathing ozone will result in some uncomfortable results, but here is a good story about the benefit of ozone saunas. My wife had the HP virus from her unfaithful ex-husband, and the gynecologist told her she had small growths as a the result in the vaginal wall, cancerous or at least pre-cancerous. (My wife hid the worst of it at the time to spare me the worry.) I bought an oxygen concentrator, a used ozone generator and sauna cabinet from a lady that had gotten it for her daughter that had cancer, and my wife used the sauna with ozone insufflations in the vagina, and the spots quickly turned black and fell off. I for one am thankful for ozone's ability to kill viruses or other detrimental pathogens. If you want more details on ozone, the Oxyplus group has a fellow named Saul that sells the units and is the expert on therapeutic ozone. But of course, you don't breathe the stuff! I've also seen ozone producing air fresheners rust metal in our ceiling at the office and quickly age the rubber in VCR players so that they do not work! jp You wrote: > FYI - My husband has a PhD in chemical engineering and he will not > allow anything that generates ozone into our home. Guest guest
I had an air " purifier " that generated ozone that my ex girlfriend gave to me. When I used it inside my house and I was there, I got really bad headaches and my place smelled really wierd so I decided to stop using it. I hadn't read about the dangers of ozone but my body told me the dangers. Devon

Guest guest
Ozone is very safe and beneficial to every part of your body except your lungs. If used in a house to clean the air it should only be used in a room when no one is there. Medical grade ozone needs a clean source of oxygen either from a tank or from an oxygen concentrator. If used correctly ozone is a very powerful, effective tool that has been used successfully to treat just about every illness. I have a small unit I use to clean the air from room to room. It has a timer and will automatically turn off after 30 min. We would never even think of being in the same room while it was on... or for an hour or more after it shuts off. I also have a medical grade unit that we use for ozone sauna, or bagging a limb, etc. The only time you can breath ozone is when it is being bubbled through olive oil using a stone diffuser. > > I had an air " purifier " that generated ozone that my ex girlfriend > gave to me.
