Guest guest
You can use this method. Different brands vary in percentages. Pour a measured amount of chlorine bleach in a cup. Dilute with water. Add hydrogen peroxide bleach to the cup until the chlorine smell is gone. Now you know the ratio. Try to buy products that say " Free " on the label. These are hypoallergenic. They don't contain the unnecessary springtime (or whatever) scents and other noxious amendments. Keep the dogs and kids away while you sanitize their pools. Guest guest
Hello .I am not chemistry literate. So what you are saying is you can use the regular chlorine ,household bleach, and the H2O2 will render all harmful, toxic chemicals in the bleach neutral or non harmful? Guest guest
I said that hydrogen peroxide will render sodium hypochlorite harmless. Avoid buying bleach with other additives. Dilute H2O2 is unlikely to react with them to your advantage. Guest guest
Since when is Chlorine Bleach safe at all? My understanding is that bleach is a big NO NO.....even most dr.s' won't use it or have it in their homes. What am I missing? Raven It is easy enough to pour household bleach (sodium hypochlorite) into your hot tub or pool to sterilize it, then pour in hydrogen peroxide to reduce it to saline and oxygen. It is absolutely safe. You can buy both regular chlorine bleach and hydrogen peroxide bleach at the supermarket. Buy both. Use an excess of the peroxide a few hours or a day after sterilizing with hypochlorite. NaOCl + H2O2 -- & gt; O2 + NaCl + H2O There is no need to do the stoichiometry. You can titrate it with This is how I do it at the retreat center.
Guest guest
I heard from a friend, who was given a protocol from a healer for candida. She was to take a daily bath and to use bleach but only Clorox brand since it was pure bleach so it may be best to use just Clorox. I can only take her word for it. I do not know the quantity she used in the bath. Guest guest
It all depends on how the pool is chlorinated. Although household bleach is safe, still you don't want to go crazy with it. Hydrogen peroxide is also a useful hot tub additive, but I have a friend who has a drum of 50% H2O2 that feeds directly into his hot tub -- which just might be overly bold. He also balanced the salt content to match that in Harben Hot Springs. He claims that he constantly has to get out to urinate as the formulation is so hydrating. The water is constantly pristine pure. I want to watch him for another year before I consider adding such a tub at our facility. Guest guest
Just don't have them do that thing with the sulfuric acid and the lye, . > > It is easy enough to pour household bleach (sodium hypochlorite) into > your hot tub or pool to sterilize it, then pour in hydrogen peroxide > to reduce it to saline and oxygen.
