I think the tech you had was nuts a person can be allergic to anything.....there is nothing that is totally safe from all people. I can see her saying this to someone that has NO allergies. Or that with some types of dye, that it is common to get a warm type feeling.... because it is, common to get really warm from some of the dyes injected for x-rays. Being that I had 40+ documented allergies... you would have thought she would keep her mouth shut, about something she doesn't know anything about !!!! I did find out later, that she had pulled this same shit before, telling the patient she was right, and they were wrong... her patient just about coded on the table. All I can say is.... THANK GOD for Benadryl! Ahhh! Anne
Guest guest
Barbara, I'm not very knowledgeable about bone scans. But I do know that there are different types. Some are good at detecting types of bone cancer, and some are not good for that, but are used to determine osteoporosis, etc. As to whether or not it is safe for us, each person will need to make that determination for themselves. For some people, the amount of radiation is worth it if it means detecting bone mets early enough to stay on top of it. But for others, they might not feel it makes a difference based on their overall plan. ar > > Hi, > > Has anyone here done research on bone scans? > > Both for the effectiveness of detecting cancer in the bone and for the safety of it for us naturally minded cancer thrivers/survivors/fighters? > > Thanks, > Barbara >
