Guest guest
Thanksgiving time is filled with temptation to fall off of an anti-cancer diet. I want pie and mashed potatoes! I also feel like such a snob when I turn down food at holiday parties, especially my grams food because she takes it so personally. But every time I do give in and eat whatever is given to me, I feel so guilty! Like my brain tumor is munching it all up and loving it. It is hard to explain this to a Portuguese family! To them, stuffing the body with " hearty " foods is the healthy way to go. Anyway, I came across this article today on the link between inflammation and cancer - http://www.embodiworks.org/cancertreatments/bodymindspirit/inflammation/ Very encouraging read to stick to a healthy diet this time of year. Also, to anyone with Netflix, check out " The New Medicine " on instant play. It delves into the connection between stress and immune function, showing the powerful benefits that meditation can have while backing it with scientific evidence. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
