Guest guest
This is why we use freeT4 and freeT3 assays while evaluating thyroid function. It's also important to keep in mind the situation is quite different for those who are being supplemented with thyroid hormone. Be well! Re: Arimidex Women who go on BCP's ( synthetic estradiol) do get a change in thyroid binding globulin which can affect free unbound Thyroid levels. Free thyroid levels can change if arimidex is used and E levels are changed. K. Guest guest
Hello, Does anyone know anything about this drug? My doctor is recommending this drug because my tumor tested positive for estrogen receptors. After three months doctor recommends a CT scan to see how everything looks. Not sure which way to go. I am not into chemo and taking a pill seems a lot better. THank you,
Guest guest
Phil, What is the online site where you get Arimidex? Bill From: pmgamer18@... Date: Wed, 29 Dec 2010 08:52:21 -0800 Subject: Re: Adrenal Fatigue Vicky, I feel you missing the point here when your on HC meds it will not show up on a morning fasting blood test when you test cortisol on HC meds it will show you if your on too much shutting down your Adreanls from working. So my Dr. runs this test after I take 10 mgs of Cortef HC in the morning about 6 am I then go do my labs at 8am as long as my cortiosl levels come back showing a level I am not over doing the dose of Cortef or shutting down my ACTH what little my Pituitary sends to my Adreanls. So my labs every 6 to 8 weeks show my morning fasting Cortisol levels at about what I first tested before going on Cortef 9 to 12. Also people like us can have low Aldosterone levels and this dumps our sodium big time making us feel dam bad. So I am on .1 mgs of Florinef with 1/2 a tsp full of good Sea Salt added to my water 3x's / day. You need to have this checked and if your testosterone levels are low you need to get on Testosterone now not later when you feel you have your Adrenals supported the longer you go with low Testosterone the more the stress of this is going to eat up your HC or Cortef meds. Even Dr. seen this happening to his men and started treating both at the same time and if ones thyroid is low he now treats this to. He feels if the 3 are bad and you only treat one the guy suffers. Taking cortef or HC meds at therapeutic dose's is very safe. Here are some links about low Aldosterone levels I was on HC meds not feeling much better until we tested this seen it was low and treated it. In this link it' all about being Hypopituitary. http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewforum.php?f=12 & sid=00e91d54c66c0d75d2ae595\ fdd8a60a7 http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=12 & t=15454 http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=12 & t=15453 http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=12 & t=15450 Some people have only a few hormone problems being Hypopituitary but you need to check them all. And try adding 1/4 to 1/2 a tsp full of good Sea Salt to a glass of water first thing in the morning see if this makes you feel better. Guest guest
Just in case you didn't know, Arimidex now comes as a generic Anastrozole with is a lot cheaper than brand name Arimidex. It is what I use and my insurance company pays for it where they don't pay for Arimidex. Guest guest
can I take DIM on the days I do not take .25g of Arimidex. I take .25 Arimidex every third day. ________________________________ From: Bill F <bfwl54@...> Sent: Wed, December 29, 2010 5:10:23 PM Subject: RE: Arimidex Phil, What is the online site where you get Arimidex? Guest guest
You can try it but watch for going to low on your Estraidol levels. I gage this by my night time and morning wood if I don't have it and can't get it up before getting out of bed I know I went to low. If this happens just stop taking them until wood comes back then go back on them but do less when your wood comes back.
