Guest guest
Just joined this site. This past Tuesday I took my first dose of Arimidex. I have just started seeing a specialist Dr. Andre Guay at the Lahey-Hitchcock Clinic in Massachusetts. He is an Endo, specializing in Sexual issues " dysfunction " hormonal imbalances etc. 1 am taking 1MG a day. He gave me an 11 month prescription, so am guessing long term is fine. Guest guest
I am storing fat in my chest and mid section as well. I'll ask my Dr. this. He is supposedly one of the best in the country and travels internationally to do talks and write for medical journals. I am going to also talk to him about Novladex in conjunction with Arimidex. My follow up with him is in Feb, but I'll fax him this week about the Novladex. Thanks for the 411! PS. almost never have night or morning wood. Can't remember the last time! I have no problems getting it anytime I need it or want it, it's just the night time and morning (waking up with) that does not happen. **************Plan your next getaway with AOL Travel. Guest guest
Hi Phil, May I askk if you have any medical background or are you someone that deals with the issues? Also, where did you get the info or Arimidex? When I bring this up, my Dr. will want to know where I got the info. At our first appointment, he was impressed with my medical knowledge and knows that I do research so I want to have something to back it up when I see him. **************Plan your next getaway with AOL Travel. Guest guest
Since I am very new to this and brand new here in the group, I am hoping people could answer a couple of questions. Did your orgasms change one the Arimidex " kicked in? " ie. More volume, more distance? Did your erections feel fuller? I have been 'blessed " in the size dept but have been noting it has not been looking as big. I thought I was young to be dealing with this. I am in my 30's. One of the first questions my new Dr. asked me was how is my stress level? Which I answered. Terrible lot's and lot's of stress. He said that also screws up the hormones, and people my age and younger are now dealing with these " issues. " I am also on some thyroid hormone from another Dr. for under active thyroid, even though my blood numbers came back normal. I have every symptom of under active thyroid. I am lucky I have a Dr, that treats symptoms, not just numbers. This med has helped me feel SO much better. I also have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. thanks! Guest guest
I must tell you your taking to much if you keep doing this your going to go to low fast and this is just as bad as to high. The most a men sould take is .5mgs everyday if his levels were above the top of the range. And he would only do this until he got his night time and morning wood back this means your at your best level. Then you need to keep an eye on this wood it if stops this means your going to low. This is when you stop the arimidex until the wood comes back. The day it dose go back on the Arimidex but cut the dose in half. Keep doing this until you find the best dose to keep your wood working. I can't tell you why this works but it dose your night time and morning wood are your best gage to tell or keep you from going to low. If you took this much for more then 2 weeks and don't have wood it is because your went down on to high a dose to fast and missed the zone for wood. The longer your to low the longer it takes to get back up on your levels and for wood to come back. Between doing labs and your wood you sould do good on this. Guest guest
I agree with Phil. 1mg per day is to almost eliminate E2 in breast cancer patients. You don't want it completely gone but just moderate levels. I take a lot of testosterone and have some excess abdominal fat. If I take 1/4mg everyday, after about 2 weeks I drop too low and start having ED issues. Luckily I can stop for 2-3 days and I am fine and start 1/4mg everyday again. The last few week I have been taking 1/4mg everyday but drop a day or two a week and so far it is working out pretty good. I started with 1/2mg twice a week and my E2 dropped from 66 to 36 in one month. Re: Arimidex > > Date: Sunday, November 2, 2008, 11:17 AM > Just joined this site. Guest guest
I have been on it for yrs. not everyone needs the same amount some get by on 1/4 of a one mg. pill every 3 days. Guest guest
I feel all CFS is is low Cortisol levels bad adrenals do to pituitary or stress. When I went on Cortef HC doing 30mgs a day taking some every 4 hrs. I don't suffer anymore and I have a low thyroid we need good cortisol levels to treat thyroid it carries the hormone out of the blood into the cells people on Synthroid don't do well treating there thyroid it's a T4 only med and most of us can't convert it into t3. Armour is he best med for low thyroid it has all the T's in it. Guest guest
hi, thanks all for the information. i am finding that some of my posts from work don't make it to the forum so i hope this gets through. i was looking into Clomiphene but my doc wanted supporting research - fair enough. the Arimidex sounds a lot better for long term use. i get the feeling the docs you have over there are a lot more informed on these things - well some. hopefully the one i am seeing next month is better informed. Arimidex sounds very promising from what you guys have to say. i havn't had morning wood for a while cheers
Guest guest
from my experience with Arimidex, that seems way too high. Most people will take 1/4 pill every 3 days. I use the liquid, 3-4drops of an eyedropper are around .25 of a mg of the type I got. I found my E2 levels are the most variable and there is no set dosage for everyone. The best way to monitor your E2,at least for me,has been keeping track of nighttime erections, night sweats, ability to orgasm. Phil in here said this all the time. If you're not getting morning wood then yourE2 is not in the zone. Good luck, Jim > > Hi, > > I have been given an arimidex script and I'm suppose to take one half > of a 1mg pill daily. > > My concern is that this maybe too high of a dosage for me! > > I would be interested in hearing from others who have been on this > drug? Guest guest
1/2mg to 1mg per day is more like the dose bodybuilders use while on a cycle. My E2 went to 66 and dropped to 16 with 1-1/2mg per week spread out. I now use liquid at 0.2mg 5x per week. ________________________________ From: Liam <lbruce89roses@...> Sent: Friday, February 6, 2009 1:29:36 PM Subject: arimidex Hi, I have been given an arimidex script and I'm suppose to take one half of a 1mg pill daily. Crashing E2 below about 15 will crush you - sap all your energy, totally steal your libido, and your erection. I'd say do a half and then follow every other day with a quarter. If you've got morning wood, you're generally on track.

My E2 was at 41 before starting, it hasn't been checked since I started the Arimidex. From what I have read .5mg every three or four days is a usual dose for men.
