Crazy thing is that mainstreamers will complain about " the dangers of neuropathy from non-mainstream treatments, but it's okay if THEIR drugs cause neuropathy. It just takes time for the neuropathy to go away. I believe nerves or nerve endings have to regenerate. Maybe there are some supplements folks can recommend to speed the process---B complex? Amino acid complex? Best wishes, Elliot ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Get your own web address. Guest guest
I take 2 cayenne tablets daily and 2 500mg non blush niacin tablets. Start off with one of each for a week. Mr. Ron
Guest guest
The only thing I know that has been proven to help neuropathy is ALPHA LIPOIC ACID. You would need about 600 mg daily. jp From: " ronald worcester " Re: [ ] Re: Severe Neuropathy Cayenne pepper, research it! --- breathedeepnow wrote: Since having chemotherapy in 1989, the neuropathy finally went away some years ago, but I still have to wear socks to bed or my feet, even though not cold, feel like they are freezing. Guest guest
I get a foot bath one a month from my naturopath. I am on a totally oragnic diet and have cod liver oil, bi12, b6, magneisum, calicium and vitamin c plus COQ10. I have been taking tramodol for the pain in my hands and feet. The foot baths cost 25.00 a session so that would be close to 400.00 a mont. i don't have a problem with that but the naturopath I see is only in town once a month. What type of ionic foot bath did you buy?? Al Hi Al, You need to detoxify asap. My recommendation would be to use an ionic footbath every other day for 30 days and then decrease to twice a week and then once a week. If you can afford it, buy a machine yourself, otherwise find someone near you who offers treatments and ask for a bulk deal.
Guest guest
Hi Al, I bought the Aqua Chi model from www.thewolfeclinic.com. Essentially it charges your cells with energy thereby improving the state of your organs. You will detoxify for about 2 days afterwards. This is visible via the urine (test if you want). Very little actually comes through the feet as many practitioners and manufactures claim. I don't have a personal case with neuropathy but I have heard of others. If it's still online there was a woman by the name of Agi who hosted a call in show and one of the topics was the Aqua Chi. There were some very interesting testimonials given and I remember there being one with neuropathy. Try googling Agi and Aqua Chi. I've been talking to one of my neighbors with neuropathy (diabetic) and am hoping he'll be willing to try the Aqua Chi. Will post here if that happens. What we experienced with it was better breathing, long standing fungal skin condition disappeared (nothing else helped either natural or prescription), Mom's fibromyalgia pain went away (about 20-25 sessions, twice weekly), etc. The problem with chemo is that most kinds contain heavy metals (kills off the cancer). These metals need to get out. They will block intake of nutrients and cause malnutrition. Did you take probiotics after chemo? This is one of the most important supplements that most people need daily in order to keep the bowels functioning properly. Without proper bacteria balance, pills and food will not be properly digested and nutrients will not be absorbed. If you have lead in your bones, calcium will not be absorbed. Lead blocks the calcium receptors. Hopefully this won't be considered spam, but if you look at my website, I uploaded an audio of a doctor speaking about liquid zeolite. Just click on play on the recorder. It's quite the eye opener: www.ncdpro.com/detoxqueen. Sharon > > Hi Al, > > You need to detoxify asap. Guest guest
I have had severe neuropathy since my chemo ended. I have tried just about everything and have come across something that may be of help to patients with severe neuropathy. Rub vicks vapo rub or tiger balm on affected areas and I have found relief. Try it and see. Al Hurt
Guest guest
According to the study that was done with lab rats they were on a very high dosage. I do not know the exact dosage but it was very high. My Doc says I could go up to 3600 milligrams a day with no side effects. That is bull because I am on one third that dosage and experience lack of balance, double vision and am lathargic some times. It also makes me very tired in the afternoon. It does help with the nerve pain and tingling but I dont know at what cost. I am always lokking for alternatives to precription drugs. Al Hurt Joyce wrote: I'm also on neurontin. I take 1, 3 times a day and 3 at night. That means I'm taking a total of 6 per day. Do you think this is dangerous? Joyce HR Consultant --------------------------------- Shape in your own image. Guest guest
Here's some information. So sorry about the nueropathy, you and everyone else! A lethal dose of gabapentin(Neurontin) was not identified in mice and rats receiving single oral doses as high as 8000 mg/kg. Signs of acute toxicity in animals included ataxia, labored breathing, ptosis, sedation, hypoactivity, or excitation. Acute oral overdoses of Neurontinup to 49 grams have been reported. In these cases, double vision, slurred speech, drowsiness, lethargy and diarrhea were observed. All patients recovered with supportive care. Gabapentin can be removed by hemodialysis. Although hemodialysis has not been performed in the few overdose cases reported, it may be indicated by the patient's clinical state or in patients with significant renal impairment. Guest guest
I had chemo for seven months and my hands and feet were always tingling and sensitive to touch and cold. The platinum based drugs they injected me with killed all my nerve endings. I am in severe pain also and the doctor will not give me any pain meds. I don't wish harm to anyone but if the doctor had this crap he would be taking pain meds. I am about ready to go to Canada to pick up some meds myself. Did you try the vicks vapo rub on the hands and feet yet? Let me know hoe that goes. Al Hurt Joyce wrote: I wish I had known about neuropathy before I had chemo. I had never even heard the word before. I had 8 months of extensive chemo because my colon cancer was in stage 4 when it was discovered. What puzzled my oncologist and neurologist was the neuropathy didn't appear until 3 months AFTER my last chemo treatment and that was 2 years ago this June. I've seem 4 different doctors and am almost ready to commit suicide with living with this chronic pain in both feet 24/7!!!!!
