Hi, I will try to answer as many of the questions as possiblle. The main

joints have been knees, ankles, back, fingers and feet. He is on Naproxsyn

250mg

twice a day to try and control the inflammation, he is also on Fosamax 30 mg

once a week. They have tried to treat the psoriasis with topical creams at

this point but I am sure there will be something else coming soon. They found

the osteoporosis in his back. His symptoms first appeared probably about 4

years old and have progressively gotten worse.Hypermobility Syndrome is when

your

ligaments are so stretched out that it causes you to hyperextend your joints.

He is presently were ankle supports to help him stop twisting his ankles and

we susupect will probably be wearing something for at least one knee soon.

He has had a Lung Function Test which came back normal and no family history

that we're aware of. His rheumy doesn't feel the need to test for HLBA-27

because if he gets classified with it it will affect insurance coverage later

on.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Judy

[Editor's Note: Thanks for filling us in a bit. I'm going to alter the subject

line above, to try to attract the max number of on-point responses for you. NOTE

TO RESPONDERS: Please also see " Privateer 21's " previous post, just a handful of

posts back, for additional info.

Based on current meds, breathing problems are unlikely side-effect related. Are

there any plans to add any meds? I note currently no DMARDs (disease-modifying

drugs), which, if they haven't been discussed, are implemented to

stop/ameliorate/slow down " architectural " defects. These drugs include

Methotrexate, Imuran, Plaquenil; the biologicals Enbrel, Humira, Remicade.
