Guest guest
Hi everybody. I'm so glad I found you. I've had psoriasis for 7 years and I've gone through all the phases of treatment that didn't work. I was taking methotrexate for the past year and Enbrel was added in 6 months ago. I finally developed asthma from the methotrexate. When I came off it, I redeveloped, with a bang, the terrible arthritis that I had before. It didn't take more than 2 weeks and my hips, lower back, thumbs and knees have totally betrayed me. My doctor has ordered 50 mg of enbrel twice a week now which should start soon and I'm going to be taking Raptiva once they get it approved. Is anyone taking this combo and does it help. I used to go to the gym but right now everything is so stiff and painful. I did some upper body weights yesterday using 5 pound weights. The workout was easy because I kept the weights light but my thumbs were killing me afterwards. I am a 43 year old mother of 3- I need and want to keep active. Does anyone use any specific flexibility regime or have any suggestions? I'm not a fitness nut by any means but I am frightened of what can happen to me. Also I am too overweight. I've lost 30 pounds in the past year and have more to go. Does weight loss make a difference. Thanks for your help and caring.
