In my experience I have found the best way to manage my disease is

related to eating. Having looked into related conditions like

allergies, leaky gut, and malabsorption; I have developed a program

for managing symptoms. There are a lot of foods I had to stop

eating including wheat and dairy. Had to stop overeating, eating

between meals, sugar, hydrogenated oils, spices. My digestion was

very slow so I take pancreatic enzymes (prescribed by doctor)

artichoke extract (bitter digestive herb), and betaine hydrochloride

for MORE stomach acid.

In addition to sulfazine, neurontin, thyroid, and anti-

inflamatories, I use many nutritional supplements because my body

seems to have difficulty absorbing nutrients. Fish oil, borage oil,

glucosamine/chondroitin, acetyl carnitine, alpha lipoic acid, ginko,

dhea, fiber, coenzyme Q, and bilberry extract improves eye

problems. I still take antidepressants and I have been able to stay

off morphine.

Also a spiritual program, 12 steps of AA, has lowered my stress aand

other emotional problems. I am still only partly functional

physically but I don't worry as much and can appreciate the good

without fixating on the bad.

Hope that might help someone

Fredrik
