Guest guest
Rick, God Bless you....hang in there. It is hard. Much harder then people think if they are not affiliated with these ailments. Regarding your face. I am not trying to sound silly...but are you 100% sure it is P starting on your face? I thought that was happening to me too. Went to the Derm, it turned out to be Perioral Dermatitis and Periocular Dermititis. A low dose of daily antibiotics and a prescribed lotion (Klaron) were the trick to getting it cleared up. Took several weeks, but it works. just a suggestion. Hope you have better days ahead annie and the pugherd To Everyone: The pugs, my hubby,my kids and I wish all you you a happy, healthier New Year! I am not trying to sound silly...but are you 100% sure it is P starting on your face? Hi Rick, have you tried tea tree oil at all? It may be gentler for your face, but I have found it to help all over with my psoriasis. Someone on this site mentioned using tea tree oil shampoo for the scalp, which I started and my scalp P got much better (got worse again when I stopped using the shampoo, so I am using it again... makes a version that you can get in most salons). So I thought it might help on my face and elbows, and I got a gel version from the health food store (the brand I tried is J/A/S/O/N). It has helped my face and elbows more than any of the prescription meds. Also, when I get a patch on my eyelids (pretty common for me), I don't use the tea tree because it stings if you get it in your eyes, but I use neosporin or a triple antibiotic ointment and it seems to help. Good Luck!
