Guest guest
If you have the willpower/desire/need to try this diet, then go for it! There is NO REASON NOT to, but don't be discouraged if it doesn't work. Go in hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I have never heard of anyone succeed in a " cure " doing this, but it does help some people that just have all around bad diets in general. Cleans the body of toxins, which will always make you feel better in general. There is no medical or holistic CURE for PA. There are long remissions that I have heard of that have lasted for years, but the PA evetually came back. Most of these I have heard of were drug induced remissions. I have never experienced a remission since I was diagnosed in 1999 at 23. I am now 28. Guest guest
Well Mastersketcher, I know some people who claim that the raw food diet is a miracle cure for everything but I have two thoughts on it. 1) it is extremely difficult to do and 2) the people I know who are doing it are still sicker than I am. They get colds (I haven't had one for 10 years) all the time, feel more tired than I do and have a variety of other health issues. I think is correct, you can learn to live with this disease but I seriously doubt there is a cure. Like the rest of us you will probably try a variety of things before you put together what works for you and then you will have to make adjustments to that as needed. I think it is important for all of us to share these things so don't please stop posting. Good Luck, Cheri
Guest guest
I like raw food, but I've found I have to limit it due to the irritation from all the meds I am on. I don't have stomach problems but the raw food adds to the irritation from the meds and it's too much for me.
