Guest guest
Thank you and ....you both made me feel really good and just in time too....I'm sitting around dreading tonight when I take the MTX for the first time. I'm so afraid of the fatigue people are talking about. I'm so tired now with the PA and two young children that I can not imagine being more tired. Is there anything that can combat the fatigue (other than rest)? best to all.... [Glad to have been of any help at all. And, if this is of use (case studies are all we've got, huh?): I've been taking Methotrexate (15 to 25 mg) for 23 years. (Searching for wood....there, knock knock.)I've never been nauseous, never had any fatigue. Just another %$^ & ^% pill or two. I do remember how long I lay there (I was having one of those delightful flares, and was confined to bed) , staring at those little pills, for the first time, with all the warnings running around in my head, then finally taking the plunge. That was back in the day when you had to have a liver biopsy every couple of years you were on it. Thankfully, experience has shown that, in the PA and RA doses, it's considerably safer than originally thought. So: Maybe you'll be like me, and there won't be a bit of difference, before and after taking it! I sure hope so.
