Guest guest
Well I went in for an MRI of my neck area today to see what is causing my fingers, hands and arms to go numb. I had the carpel tunnel test done and they said no CT. Other x-rays show a narrowing of my lower lumbar (tailbone) area and a narrowing of the both my hips. I have been having a lot of pain in the backside area. I have 4 different cushions that I change out when one gets to hurting. Won't find out the results of the MRI until next week. Two weeks ago I went to the eye doctor because my eyes were hurting, was getting floaters and would puss up in the mornings. He gave me some steroid and antibiotic for the Iritis. Seems to be helping a little. Thanks for listening.
Guest guest
Dear Dick, I'm so sorry to hear of all your pain. I think we are going through almost exactly the same thing right now though. I'm scheduled for a MRI next Friday of my neck and lower lumbar area. I think when your back hurts it's really hard to ignore it or concentrate on something else. Unless you can find a spot and now move, you are going to be in pain. Do you ever try sitting or lying in a recliner? That seems to help my lower back area the most, I guess since it takes the pressure off from my legs. Right now my numbness is in my left hand, wrist and back of my upper arm to my elbow. The numbness in my upper arm is just like a line of numbness which is really a strange feeling. I think it gets on my nerves the most in my fingers because I keep dropping things. I have been tested for carpel tunnel too, but that was ages ago. I hope I don't have to go through that test again with the electrical current is wired to your wrist. That definitely felt like a form of torture. I guess that sort of describes this all mess of PA though. Anyway, I hope you get some answers and they can help you when you know the results. Take care and feel better soon. Guest guest
Thanks Fran, I do spend most of my sitting time in a recliner and I have 4 different cushions that I switch around when one doesn't work and the pain gets to bad. This sure is getting old. Speaking of, today was my big 55 and I feel like 65. :-( Starting to spend everyday in the hot tub to relieve some of the joint pain and stiffness. It's the best suggestion the doctor has made for me yet. 85 deg out, sitting in a hot tub (100 deg), with a nice cold beer. :-) Who said ya can't have fun with this pain. Thanks again Fran.
