Manfred, I have been on Mobic for about 2 years now at two pills a

day. I have had no side affects that I know of and no adverse

reactions to taking it. I have 14 perscriptions and it doesn't seem

to have any incompatibilities with any of them.

My wife is also on Mobic.

Hi Manfred,

A belated welcome to the group. It took me a while to realise that you were

new. hope you get what you are looking for from the list.

Good luck,

.

If I have missed anyone else (New) recently, my apologies.

Dear Leanne, Dick,

Thanks for your input on this.

I started taking it a few days ago, in my search for a NSAID that helps,

without noticeable side effects, and not being expensive. I'm trying to fight

down a tendon inflammation in one leg with it, that just doesn't seem to have

any intention of subsiding. The DMARD I'm taking isn't helping against it. So

far I have tried indomethacin, ibuprofen, celecoxib and now meloxicam. The

first worked reasonably well, but lasted only a few hours per pill and caused

me occasional intestinal bleeding. The second one seems to be less effective

for me. Celecoxib works moderately well at one capsule per day, and caused no

noticeable side effects, but is too expensive for continued use. The meloxicam

seems to be about as effective as the others, offering some relief but not

full one, with no obvious side effects until now, and being inexpensive. I

will try it for some more time, and then try others, on my search of one that

actually allows me to tie my shoes and climb stairs without too much pain in

the leg nor in the pocket! :-)

Manfred.

Thanks, but I joined quite some time ago! You probably forgot me because I

didn't post anything in a long time! But if you look back in the archive, you

should find my entire history...

Cheers,

Manfred.

Hi Manfred,

Ooops! Sorry about that. You probably joined before I did. Thing is too I

thought about it and even tried to look back in the archives although not in

the right way obviously.

Mind you, I did say it was a belated welcome. Lol

I am actually always meaning to have a good look back in the archives but I

only ever seem to have time to read the mail coming in and to answer a few if

possible. Maybe in the future eh?

Look after yourself,
