Guest guest
I got my flu shot this morning. My RD recommended that I show up for a clinic in the lobby of his complex today and sent me a letter identifying me as high risk last week. I had to get in line at 7:30 AM for the 9:00 AM clinic. I was number 74 out of 171 people and stood in line for about 2 hours. I felt bad for the very old people that were forced to stand and wait. I overheard the director say that they had 700 shots and only 171 people showed up. It was very rainy, bad weather for CA and there was a flash flood warning. They didn't ask me for my letter. They just asked me if I had a chronic disease. There were people in the line that were young and healthy that just wanted the shot and weren't ashamed to say so out of earshot of the staff. Guest guest
--- Hi Ronnie and everyone- I got my flu shot yesterday and boy was there a line!! I have never seen so many people with walkers, wheelchairs and canes all in one room!! There were so many old people. We all had appts. We had to wait in 2 lines: the first one to check in and make sure we had an appt. there was a few people that showed up that didn't have an appt. one old lady cried because she couldn't get a shot (it broke my heart)-they put her on a waiting list. The second line was proof of medicare to pay for the shot. People were staring at me because I look so young. My son's friend's Mother checked me in and said I was the youngest one to get a shot that day. I told her that I wish I wasn't even there and that I wish I was perfectly healthy and didn't need a shot. People were running into my walker and cutting in front of me. I never seen so much chaos in a government place-they almost needed a security guard. Can you imagine old people getting violent over flu shots? What is our world coming to? I'm glad you got your flu shot Ronnie. God Bless, Sue in Michigan. In , " Ronnie " <ronevans@s...> wrote: > > I got my flu shot this morning.
