Guest guest
Hi Misty! I'm Rita. I'm new to the list and mostly make cold process soaps, but am dabbling in other things. I, too, live in Massachusetts...actually just north of Boston in a place called Peabody. Do you know where that is? Where are you located? Welcome! Could your kid be experiencing muscles spasms? If so, is she getting enough Magnesium and B6? Arnold frequently write about his seizures being caused by a B vitamin deficiency. Seizures are a sign of Magnesium deficiency, too.

Even females without seizures report relief of PMS and other menstrual symptoms with adequate levels of those water soluble nutrients. I understand also that over the counter pain relievers and prescription pain drugs can also trigger seizure activity...

Guest guest
Hi, , That was me this week with the lost processor. We parted ways when I removed my hat in the grocery store while shopping. More than a few people have written to me to say that it just goes to show that my CI couldn't have been working very well if I didn't notice it gone for some time. I'd come from the post office just before the grocery store and had a conversation with the people there (small town wonderful post office). I had trouble hearing them for the noise of boxes moving and all, so I know the processor was on. I tend to touch a lot, so I'm constantly checking to be sure the processor is there, and on M. (yep, I've inadvertently pushed it to W and T a few times) That's what made losing it so doubly upsetting. Good suggestion, though, as it does get easy to place them on our heads and run, forgetting to actually turn the thing on! Hope my reimplantation tomorrow makes a big difference! ) Jackie
Guest guest
Hey everyone. Happy Tuesday. I am very curious as to know how so many people are able to go bilateral. Does your insurance cover two implants or do you have to pay for the second implant yourself? I know some people are lucky enough to get into some of the bilateral trials, which would be nice. I still haven't gotten approval yet from my appeal for the first one. Hope to hear something on that soon. Re: In general - please know that prayers are coming from this part of the world (eastern PA) for Annika as well! - you are doing amazing with your CI! A cat purring is such a soft sound. You'll know to worry if, when you talk to the cat, it answers back and you hear it! LOL Thanks so much for your well wishes! Chocolate pudding! I hadn't thought of that! I think you included everything - I mean I won't need the kitchen sink! - Snoopy has given me instructions to write a note saying hi to the surgeon for her. With all the information pinned to my gown, he may never get to the actual surgery! LOL Thanks for thinking of me! Patti - thanks so much for the well wishes and enthusiasm! (Newbies do NOT read the next few sentences - they are the mad rantings of a rebel!) You know me too well to think I would have low expectations, despite the rhetoric. I'm the woman who added a " P " to Patience, and the rest. Remember what it was? Phooey! LOL It's appropriate for all when maps start to fade and your next appointment is a month away, and other times, too! LOL Not to worry, my husband is a good one for reminding me to keep my feet on the ground! - thank you! You know I work with kids with CI's and I have met a few adults in person who have a CI. I see how well they all do, and understand that I am an anomaly (not a curseword! LOL) I have seen those for whom it is just not working, as well. But I strongly believe that if you have nothing to lose, you might as well go for it. I'm not much of a crusader and believe all people should make their own choice based on what works for them in life. But I would never discourage others from trying something that just might add to the quality of their lives. Look at all the wonderful people I have met here - people like you. ) JD - I will be reporting in for fear of an attack of e-mail by the hundreds! LOL Thanks! Dora - I'm about halfway through your second book and very much enjoying it. I am getting more confident with this decision with each page I turn. Thanks for all of your prayers and private e-mails, encouraging me to keep on dancing. I LOVE to dance and this is one dance that feels very right! ) OK, everyone - again - thanks to all of you, and I will try to get on line Thursday evening or Friday morning. Many thanks, Jackie
