Im a 26yr old f and my sederation rate is at 70. How bad is that? can anyone

tell me? I have movement in my joints in my hands in almost every finger (always

swollen) I have (boutineer finger) on both my middle fingers (this is where it

makes a U type turn upward towards the end of my middle fingers) there is

definate deformatity. I cant sometimes move my hands for hours in the mornings

and my wrists are really bad. My neck and shoulders and lower back are the same.

So my Rheumy says that he only believes in slowing down the progression of the

disease (which IM ALL FOR) but he says he wont give me anything for pain....he

says deal with it!! he says I should be more focused on getting the meds to slow

this down. My rhemy before I moved had me on all things to slow down the

progression (prednisone, methotrexate, folic acid, diflonec, INCLUDING LORATAB

FOR PAIN. I feel I do need pain pills, do you think this doctor is right in

refusing me some pain relief? I swallow like 10-12 aleve a day just to make it

thru the day and this hardly touches my pain. Can I go to another doctor just to

get pain pills if I have proof of my disease? and if I do, wouldnt he wonder why

my rheumy wouldnt give me those pills? Please give me your feedback EVERYONE!

Thanks, Lina in Indiana
