I have NEVER had PT for my PA. Did not even know if we were supposed to have

it.

It is dang cold here in Oklahoma City. I noticed myself " limping " of sorts today

in Walmart. :P Seems I am stiffening up more than before.

Think I will just wait til my next week's appt (thursday) with the dermo and

get my first shot then....I am scared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED THE

ENBREL--BUT I HATE SHOTS! I tend to pass out.........

I have to tell you. My hubby started Enbrel about 6 or so months ago. When we

first started he wouldn't even look when I gave him the shot, let alone do it

himself. He's always been the type to tuurn his head and when I was having our

daughter he almost passed out numerous times. But after the first few times he

realized that if he tried he might be able to over come this fear. He has been

doing his own shots now for at least 5 ouut of the 6 months. The needles are

small and very thin. I think also when you are in control it is alot easier to

cope with. good luck. rachel

and all,

The reason I can't do the Enbrel injections myself is because I am legally

blind. There is NO WAY I could do it. So they are working to get me under the

skilled home nursing care that is coverd by Medicare.

Being on Medicare DOES have its perks.........

You know , years ago when I was a teenager, I had to inject my grandfather

since my mother and grandmother were too squimish and my grandfather's

Alzheimer's ruled out his doing it himself. Now I am injecting myself with

Humira. I would much rather inject myself than inject someone else! I always

felt that I was hurting grandpa (although he never even blinked when I did it),

but I KNOW that I am not causing myself pain when I self-inject. It sort of

stings for a few seconds and then it's history. Self-injecting is easy when we

let reality in and fear out.
