Up until I started Remicade with MTX, I had been in a progressively worse state for about 7-8 years. I've been on Remicade (500cc) for a year and a half and have not built up the usual tolerance to it yet. (I still inject .7cc of MTX weekly). There is absolutely no doubt that I could not afford the almost $30,000.00 my insurance company is paying for all my meds. There's absolutely no way to predict where your case of PA is going, but you can be sure the meds are going to be a lot more expensive if your condition gets worse. Get the best medical coverage you can find with a job. (Beware of the pre-existing condition fine print clause.) Good luck!
