Dear Marti,

I am so sorry you will be having to leave the chats. I have been very ill as

of late and have not been on line as I would like. I again have an antibiotic

resistent strain of staph infection in my sinuses and chest as well as

another bacteria that I never heard of/ I got the call on Tuesday that I need

to go

on three antibiotics for at least a month. A trouble is that one called

Zyvox costs $3,000 retail and I couldn't afford the 20% copay at the

prescription

so the mail order section of our plan has a rush order in but it will be at

least a week! One of the new changes in our plan! Horrid, I hope I can stay

out of hospital while waiting! The price of being on immune suppressants so long

Iknow. It has finally caught up to me and

my immune system just will not start up as it should. I can't even get a

fever above 97F-even with these serious life threatening infections.

I thank you so much for doing the chat moderating on Tuesdays for so long and

certainly understand that things have come up that will only perrnit you to

do so till end of February.

thank you for offering to " train " your replacement as well.

So, I will put it out to the members who enjoy the chat, can someone fill in,

or perhaps two people share the month?

I am so sorry you are still so ill. It is scary. I pray the new

antibiotics will do the trick for you.

If anyone is interested in moderating the Tuesday chat I would be

happy to show you the ropes. There isn't much to it. We have been

having technical troubles in the chat room which is the only drawback

right now. I will be taking a hiatus from the chat starting in March

in order to help my good friend with some medical treatments.

Mickey...what about a chat with your lawyer who offered to give a

talk. You could determine if there is enough interest. It sounds

like there are a number of people out there who are struggling with

the SSDI system right now.

I have really enjoyed doing the chats. I've learned a lot and talked

to many wonderful people.

Hi Marti,

Sounds like a great idea. I don't do the chat but what I will do

is give him all the info about the chat group and see if he will

log on now and then OR see if he can set up a date so anyone with

questions about SSD can join in at that time. I'll get back to

you.

Are all the chats at the same time? Are there two a week, Tuesday

and Saturday?

Hi Mickey,

Yes, the chats are all at the same time each week. One Tuesday(7pm

central) and one saturday(3pm central) It would probably be a good

idea to set a date and let people know when to come to chat with

their questions for him.
