Guest guest
IMO, this list is for everyone and all views are welcomed. There were some people here, however, who disagreed vehemently with and all I am suggesting is that we be sure that we want an open list before he is invited back as I think it would be horrible to discover afterwards that we don't welcome him here. I personally felt our list lost something when he left even though I often disagreed with him but that view was not shared by all. Kathy F. In a message dated 2/6/2005 12:08:50 P.M. I am off all arthritis meds and just taking supplements and avoiding the food allergies that cause my syptoms. I told my story, responded to questions and then shut up about it. I know that what worked for me will not work for everyone. I am so glad to be off the meds that were toxic to my liver and were destroying my stomach. I found that doctor because I was scared of MTX and the long-term effects. I don't think it is the philosophy of this group to censor suggestions that deviate from the popular medical oppinion. We are here to share any information we can to help each person make the best decisions based on personal goals. I think all of us should support each other in what ever treatment any of us seek. This group has been a wealth of knowledge to me. I don't think I would have had the courage to try other treatments if not for all the ideas from this group. Let's welcome Dave back with his ideas, just make sure he follows the format of support and encouragement--not attack. Ks Di
Guest guest
Hi Kathy: I personally do not remember . I am always open to new views, but definitely listen to my physicians. If he is very strong in his messages, it could possibly sway people from the traditional medical treatments which are giving them relief and possibly throw them backwards. I have found great relief in the traditional treatments. Even my back is a lot better after a series of epidurals, facet injections, and radio frequency ablation. Every once in a while it haunts me some, but have had 3 good days in a row. Therefore, I am one who definitely believes in the traditional treaments. I am only one voice but usually quiet. What works for one person might not work for another. I believe that we all derserve to know 'that One thing', whether it be meds or whatever, that might gives us hope and encouragement. We are all mature and educated enough to make a decision that is right for our own body. I agree with this as well. If one person may benifit from what recommends then that is all the better. I know I will do what is best for my own body and I hope everyone else feels the same. Janet

Guest guest
Personally I don't think it was the fact that spoke of his convictions for alternative approach for treating PA as objectionable, but rather the evangelistic way he spoke of it! However, I should qualify this by saying I'm always a bit put-off by people that pass themselves off as authorities on any subject....he certainly isn't the only person that is/has been on this list that speaks to every little situation with " great authority " ! I admire people that do serious research and come to their own conclusions....I don't necessarily like it when they start to profess that they have figured it all out for the rest of us and we just need to follow along using their conclusions. I think everyone is entitled to be part of this group when PA is part of their life.....folks, I've got a perfectly good Delete Key....when you start to push my buttons, I just push my delete button....works every time! Guest guest
Why is there all of this excruciating over this issue? You can always ban him again. Right? I was banned from the AP site because I mentioned that biologics were effective if their protocol wasn't working. Who cares. It's an E-group. It's the nature of the beast. All of this analysis of the situation is just more stuff to delete.
