Guest guest
At the moment my joints are in a flare-up and I am taking dihydrocodeine at night and co-codamol in the day. I take 25mg MTX a week, plaquenil and diclofenac (Volterol) daily. I do get tired especially when in a flare-up but this time round I am SO SO SO tired all the time. It does not matter how much I sleep or rest I feel so totally knackered.. Does anyone take anything for extreme tiredness (eg a supplement etc?), is there anything that can help alleviate the tiredness? Arhghghghgh I have no energy whatsoever. Thanks (UK)
Guest guest
, I am new here and have the same trouble with feeling tired mostly from waking during the night in pain. I read about Valerian Root and gave it a try. It has helped me get a restful night of sleep without the hangover feeling in the morning. It used to take me a couple of hours to get moving in the morning due to the stiffness, drowsiness and pain. Still have the stiffness and pain but the increased energy gets me going. If you decide to try it, make a note of when you take it and how long it takes to start feeling drowsy. For me it takes 2-3 hours to take effect. If I forget to take it on time, I usually just take 2 before going to bed. The brand I take has 1,605 mg per capsule. Also be sure to check interactions with your prescribed medications or ask your doctor. I don't take anything for the PA because I have yet to get a diagnosis. I'm experiencing the fear and loathing of the truth due to my Bipolar Disorder which is a heavy load in itself. Guest guest
, Noticed that you are in the UK, so you might not have the same meds available. I was having a horrible flare last year and could barely get out of bed I was so exhausted and tired. My doctor gave me a prescription for a new medicine that they now give to people getting chemotherapy for their fatigue. It is called Provigil (this might also be the generic version/name) It really did help and I only needed it for about two weeks and then, bingo....my flare eased off and I was able to drop the Provigil. It is non-addictive and works quite well. Good luck. in Poulsbo, WA. Guest guest
Provigil is the same medicatiopn that my doctor gave me for narcolepsy- the problem I had when all of a sudden I would fall asleep with no notice. It does work beautifully, I must say. Checking out " Provigil " on WebMD would probably be helpful too. _WebMD with AOL Health - _ (http://aolsvc.health.webmd.aol.com/content/drugs/4/4046_2202?bn=Ultram) medication listings S. list founder
