I'm seeing an attorney on Friday AM to start the process for my wife

who has pancytopenia(low blood counts) caused by Lupus. We should

share our experiences as we go through the process.

I will be saying special prayers for ya'll to get the SSD. I was

approved on the first try last April. Keep a positive outlook. You

deserve it! God bless and good luck!

Hi Mike,

My case is a little bit different. I went off of disability in 2002

because I wanted to work again and loved the job I did. Now due to

the progression of the PA, osteo, Fibro, COPD and myofacil pain

syndrome and Degenerative disk disease, I am reapplying. When I spoke

to the social security person yesterday, she told me I wasn't

eligible because I didn't have enough work credits. How could I when

I was on SSDI prior to 2002. She failed to inform me that if I become

disabled again within 5 years of it stopping it is automatically

restarted but they still take five months because they still do the

medical verification. So I reapplied yesterday and if I get any

hassles I will contact a lawyer.
