Ok, what is this med?

Also, do you use a tanning bed, or do you go to the Dr. for treatment?

when I used soriatane, it was taken in conjunction with PUVA light

treatments 3 times a week. I don't like the meds and quit after a month.

One it made me nausious, and two you have to wear goggles afterwards for

quite a while (forget the time you have to do this) and my eyes are still

sensitive to the light. Yes it worked, but no thanks...

Soriatane is definitely a med...a powerful one. It shouldn't ever be taken by

anyone who might ever get pregnant [at least not within three years of

discontinuing med], it's potent enough, quite literally, to curl your hair.

I've been off for about a year and still have some curl when I was string

straight. It also causes incredibly dry mouth and other discomforts. You also

need to have blood tests to make sure your liver enzymes are ok...It did really

clear up my nails, but not my skin. I had to quit because of the liver thing.

Also 50 mgs. is a pretty strong dosage.

I had my lil one appx 4 yrs after stopping it.... and he was born with

hypospaedia (sp?) which is a dual urinary tract. I always wonder if

possibly that is what caused it... but decided along time ago to not blame

myself and be grateful he is as healthy as he is!!!

30 minute tanning bed for 5 min each time 2-3 times a week prescribed

by the doc. He said that the tanning bed in moderation will be more

effective in overall body light therapy than in office light tx.

Soriatane is a cousin to Acitane (used to treat severe acne)

Cant get pregnant or give blood for 3 yrs after end of tx. Must be

pretty power ful stuff.

I'm sure he's beautiful, and you followed the doctor's and pharm. co.'s advise.

So like you said, " Enjoy!!!!! Your wonderful boy. " We lost a granddaughter to

CF and that's a guilt trip because both parents have to have the gene to pass it

on...so we wonder who???? But although her time was limited to only 5 years,

she was an angel and had such strength. So I guess we were blessed. That was

10 years ago & still seems so fresh. So please don't dwell. Just love. Enough

from me. Bye.
