Guest guest
, I am allergic to sulfa also. I have been on Enbrel almost a year (feb 14th is my one-year anniversary of Enbrel) and have never had a reaction because of my sulfa allergy. In fact, I have never had any allergic reactions or injection site reactions that a lot of other people have had. I do get bruising at the injection sites from time to time, but nothing major. Peggy B-now in Florida. I am also allergic to Sulfa. I took Enbrel for 6 months and the first month or so I felt short of breath but then it passed. I really don't know what to make of it. Guest guest
I have high blood pressure, too, which has been controlled for several years by Atenolol. I have been on MTX, Arava, Mobic, Bextra, Actonel and Humira - all without causing any rise in the BP. Hope this gives you some confidence about proceeding to find the right medicine for you to control your PA. Best, Kathy F.
Guest guest
Ooops, the question was about sulfa, not blood pressure. I have a mild allergy to sulfa - some drugs such as bextra contain sulfa, but they don't cause me any problems, while drugs with higher concentrations of sulfa do. I have had no problems with MTX, Humira, etc. Kathy F.
