Guest guest
Hi Patty, My thumb pain is in the right and left. I too have learned to use my elbows to hold things and always use fat pens when I write. I also am getting an electric jar opener. My husband does all the ziploc type bags for me becuase I just can't get those. I am a righty and my left hand is worse than the right, I would have thought that since I used my right more it would be worse. Go figure, anyway I also have a hard time with turning keys and I saw something on a website that can help with that. When my hands hurt bad I end up having to hunt and peck to type. Sorry I don't have more advice to offer, but most times I have to ask for help to turn thing, carry etc... if no one is around, sometimes it just doesn't get done. I hope you have a better day tomorrow Gentle hugs Pat > > > AARRGGHHH! Guest guest
Things I've tried so far: Cold -- seems to make it worse Heat -- feels good but can't tell that it helps anything TENS unit -- the verdict is still out on that one. Nothing dramatic one way or the other. There are some very sensitive places that hurts when cold or TENS is applied to them, especially right between the thumb base and the wrist. Will have to study more to understand why. Problem: My response to any continued pain is emotional, visceral and total to the point I begin shaking all over when I reach saturation point. Then I just want to crawl under the blankets and sleep! How many of you received a direct e-mail from Greg <gamurphy64@...> offering a $3 per day product that eliminates the pain? If this works so well, I wonder why the whole world doesn't know about it? Take care, patty in a cold Pineywoods of East Texas
Guest guest
How many of you received a direct e-mail from Greg <gamurphy64@y...>? His statement: " I helped one lady with her thumb and she was going to have her thumb fused her pain was so bad. She was to have her surgery scheduled within about a month. She started seeing results after about 3 weeks and cancelled her surgery. She now has full movement of her thumb with no pain. The products cost around $3 a day. I have help others with very similar issues. I would really like you to try these products. I know they work, that much is guranteed. In fact if you don't see any improvement within the first month I'll refund your money. " If this works so well, I wonder why the whole world doesn't know about it? If it's a legitimate cure/treatment, why doesn't he give the details on the list instead of contacting individuals with a vague offer? Does anyone know this person or about his 'offer'? Guest guest
So I'm wondering - is this pain that you're all describing thumb tendonitis or something else? I have it mostly in my left hand (and I'm right handed also - go figure!) The pain is mainly in the web, but radiates toward the base of the thumb and wrist. Before PA diagnosis, rheumy told me she thought it was OA of the thumb because the pain was worse when she pressed down directly on the joint. I now think it's tendonitis due to PA - feels more like it's affecting the muscle, and it's causing trigger points that feel better when massaged. Any of this sound familiar? - Amy > > > AARRGGHHH!
