Guest guest
Arie, Do you take anything in combination with Enbrel, like MTX or DMARD's like that? From what I understand that is how Enbrel works best, in combination with a DMARD type drug. I think that part of the reason that the Enbrel isn't as effective for me as it could be is because I'm taking it alone and not combined with other meds. Re: [ ] PA in Spine hi denise, i also take enbrel and it helps only for my knees. the rest of the body is always painfull. is also does not help my psoriasis. the only way i can treat my psoriasis in staying one month (in one piece)in the dead sea, 8 hours a day in the sun. arie

Guest guest
, MTX CAN cause liver damage, but it does not cause liver damage in most people. There are many people that it helps immensely. I had to stop taking MTX because it elevated my liver panels, but that doesn't mean that it will do that to you. Among the weapons we have available to fight PA, MTX is the most studied drug and its long term benefits and consequences are widely known. It is a blessing for some, a bane for others, but it can bring some people more relief than they dreamed possible. It is a decision to make in concert with your doctor based on your own research. Guest guest
Kathy, Thanks for the info but I was asking Arie if he had ever taken MTX. I myself have taken it before and plan on taking it again once I am done having children and nursing them. MTX worked great for me though my liver enzymes went up while on it right after my weight loss surgery. Now that I am further out from my surgery I don't think it will be a problem anymore.
