Guest guest Posted November 2, 2004 Report Share Posted November 2, 2004 Mine was teling me to take 20mg twice per day as well. But RA and PA have different reasons that the joints inflame, too. One has to do with a lack of lubricant or something, and the other is an inflammation of the lining between the joints. Maybe that has something to do with the different dosages? It really messed with my ability to sleep, or more specifically, my ability to achieve deep REM sleep. It was like...I was napping for 8 hours a night, and waking up in the morning exhausted. By the end of my 2nd week of taking it, I was a complete mess, crying, irrational thought, incoherency. It was nasty, so I stopped, and made my doctor give me something else. Now I'm on Naproxen. Guest guest Posted November 2, 2004 Report Share Posted November 2, 2004 I only take 10mg of Bextra a day. I was told by my pharmacy that I could go up to a 20mg tab a day. I haven't been able to see my doctor yet, so don't have permision to up the dose or anything. I have no idea the differences between the pa and ra or anything like that.
