Guest guest
I had a sleep disorder because of my fibro. We were able to get that under control in about 6 months. It helped some, but not completely. I also take meds for my thyroid, so that is another reason. I had been waiting for the " depressed " diagnosis, but she told me I was not - that my body is going through an internal struggle, and to take it one step at a time. We have changed my diet a little, added more exercise, and devised a sleep plan. No drugs. I am feeling much better. When I don't exercise for a while, I feel much worse. For me this is the answer. The problems all started after my second child was born by c-section. I am very very sensitive to medications, and it seems like the overload from surgery was too much for me. Finding a good doc is key. She actually is a nurse practitioner and is very open minded. Things a regular doctor wouldn't listen to, she works with. If I find something on-line or in a book or mag, she will research it and let me know if it's worthwhile or not. She is wonderful. I have all my female friends and family going to her. Guest guest
, This sounds interesting. I've been experimenting lately with Yakult which I understand is a digestive enzyme and which I take every morning with breakfast. Can you suggest others you've found good ? Can you suggest some brands for the pancreatic enzymes (is Wobenzyme the one you use ?) mentioned below ? Where do you buy them from ? I'm definitely making some progress on the natural wellbeing side of the equation. The big things that help me are daily exercise, minimising of alcohol, lots of water and many of the dietery items already mentioned (gave up coffee three years ago, etc) If I can't exercise, or if I drink too much wine, or eat bad food then I always suffer, feel tired and down. If I can lead the " good life " then I seem to prosper. Thanks, Allan
Guest guest
Thanks for your support Soudi (and E also). I am getting these slowly. After 3 years I have taken up all the recommendations below except a few that I am working toward. I have to figure out how to do a relaxation/meditation exercise - perhaps yoga ? or Pilates ? Which antioxidants would you recomment that I experiment with ? Regards, Allan

Guest guest
Thanks Soudi - I'll keep working at it. A few months ago I felt on top of it, but things have slipped away again and I'm feeling a lot of anguish at the moment. But I'm determined to find some kind of peace in my life again. best regards, Allan --- betanew@... wrote: > Hi Allan, > I usually thrust all Metagenics's products and dietary > supplements their > antioxidants are great but is more expensive than others, > recently asserted > to > use ACES+Zn from products and its working great for me, > also the prices more > reasonable. Yes, and If you had read the rest of my post you would have understood that I was opposed to this oldfashioned way of thinking. I don't think anyone disagrees that this has been the way common people have thought about depression. This notion has ruled for hundreds of years, but been especially popular during the " Psychoanalysis Era " of the 60's and 70's. They have done tests with monkeys, and yes, the get depression too. They looked to the social structure of a group of monkeys. Those lower down the structure were less regarded and suffered poorer living conditions, were more depressed and showed more agression. When you rearranged their social structure, by placing the monkeys at different heights, shutting the older alphas out, etc, they got depressed instead. Nothing in this study indicated that some individuals were much stronger than the others. Just that our social lives have a great impact on our wellbeing. Theresa in Sweden, a keen reader, but not particularly of the Bible.
