(the book " Strong Women and Men Beat Arthritis " comes to mind)This is more recent knowledge; splinting was more common 12 years ago -- I had a number of splints and they didn't do a thing except irritate my joints and lead to muscle wasting. I'm in the Arthritis Society's treatment programs right now, and they have all of the latest research and still splint joints regularly. I don't know about splinting as a preventative measure, because all of my splinting has been done on inflamed fingers; but I do know that they have and use ring splints there, in addition to resting splints. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Visit my personal web site at http://members.shaw.ca/tljohnson/
Guest guest
, Thank you for your input regarding the ring splints - I didn't think they looked all that helpful myself and am sceptical about them.
