The Law of Similar The Law of similar is a natural law, rather like the laws of mechanics. The drug Cinchona Officinalis (Peruvian Bark), containing quinine will produce Malaria likes symptoms when repeatedly administered to healthy human Volunteers. Its use, therefore, in the treatment of patients with malaria, is in accordance with law of similar. The orthodox methods of vaccination, immunization, and allergen desensitization are similarly in accord with the homeopathic law. How we might assess that a patient is being set on the curative path by the homeopathic remedy. In the first instance , He will tell so. The patient is a better judge in most cases. There should be both improvement in the presenting complaint, and an increase in general energy level. The patient might say,

“Even though my joints still hurt, I feel a lot better in my self” . This indicates that treatment is having a beneficial effect. We may utilize Herrings Law. This states Cure occurs. a. From above downwards. b. From within outwards. c. Appearance of symptoms in reverse chronological order. This means: a. “From above downwards..” Cure progresses from the head towards the lower trunk, that is to say, head symptoms clear first with regard extremities, cure spread from shoulder to fingers, or hip to toes. b. Cure starts from within outwards Cure progresses from more important organs (e.g. liver, endocrine) to less important organs (e.g. joints). That is to say, the function of vital organ is restored before those less important to life. The end results of this externalization of disease is often the production of treatment coetaneous rash. c. “Appearance of symptoms in reverse

chronological order”. More recent symptoms and pathology will clear before old symptoms and pathology. The disease “back tracks”. so to speak. After the more recent problems have been cleared. it is not at all uncommon for the patient to experience the transient recurrence of old symptoms and pathology which then disappears within a few weeks. Herrings Law, which is also termed the Law of Cure, is the logical inverse of the way in which chronic disease progresses both with regard to the patient himself and the ancestral history of the disease. The most important aspects of the Herring’ Law are, “From within outwards” and “in reverse chronological order”. ARE THE DRUGS AND HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES COMPATIBLE The question is often raised as to whether allopathic drugs and homeopathic remedies are compatible or not? On the face of it they would seem to be totally incompatible, since they work in opposite

directions on the healing process. Whilst it would be pleasant for all our patients to arrive for homeopathic consultation without taking drugs, this, however, is often not the case. Should we immediately throw away the asthmatic inhaler, which has been his lifeline for several years?. Should we immediately deprive the grossly hypertensive patient of his anti hypertensives, given to him after a stroke? Of course not ! This would be foolish, irresponsible, and dangerous! where as in the case of mild chronic disease, the abondonment of drug therapy can be instituted almost immediately. in more serious cases it is not feasible. The power of homeopathic remedies is such that they are frequently capable of over riding the suppression of healing caused by drugs. Whilst the action of the remedy is somewhat inhibited by that of the drug, it is, nevertheless not totally nullified. Steroids are particularly suppressive of healing, as all physicians realize.

We gradually withdraw the patient from conventional drugs. The impression about homeopathy that it takes long time to cure is absolutely wrong. Actually it takes time in chronic cases. Preventive Medicines Homeopathic remedies may be used to great effect in the prevention of acute infection. These measures are of particular importance during epidemics or to prevent infection spreading from one member of a household to another.. The concept of prevention in Homeopathy is however wider than this . We may for example prevent SEASICKNESS in susceptible individuals by prescribing homeopathic remedy for two days prior to the voyage. Surgery Homeopathy doesn't claim to do away with the surgery altogether but it can help and eliminate surgery in many cases. Diseases like appendicitis, tonsils, tumors, boils, stone in Kidneys and Gall Bladder etc. can be treated homeopathically with success. SYMPTOMS The selection

General Symptoms pertains to the patient “will and intelligence” desires and aversion “hatred and affections”. Yesterday I had the worst headache and joint pains I've had in years. I finally came home and did an enema. I started to improve in the middle of it. The headache got much better. A couple hours later it started to get worse again,and I went back and did another enema bag full of water (sorry if that's more info than anyone wanted to hear!). Again, I felt much better.So I'm speculating that some of these symptoms I've been feeling could be from a die off or herx of some viruses or bacteria. Of course I can't be 100% sure but it seems possible. I took the night off from LDN to give my body a break, but I'll go back to it tonight. If this is truley a die-off or herx, that would be a good thing although it feels terrible. I have a very good new to share with the group. This is my 8th month on LDN for benign MS (15 years). Together with LDN I use homeopathy, I am on a strict BBD and take all the recommended supplements.During the first month on LDN, I experienced numbness at my legs, fading from above downwards. Numbness has been my only symptom during the three flares I had in my life. After the initial revival of this old symptom, I have seen improvements in strength, vitality and balance.

Lately, I visited a new alternative doctor who suggested a new homeopathetic cure and some chages in my daily intake of supplements. He is the one who will be prescribing LDN for me from now and on. When I first started this new cure I felt awfully tired, which is common practice for me in cases of new homeopathetic regiments. 1-2 weeks after, I gradually come back to my normal.

My right hand was struck during the second flare I had in my life, twelve years ago, and since then my handwriting has been slightly different than before. Suddenly, some days ago, I noticed that my handwriting was exactly the same as it used to be before my second flare! Altered handwriting was a very old symptom and it seems to have cleared. I believe that this is due to the work of LDN together with homeopathy.

I hope this helps people in the group maintain their hopes: we never know when alternative cures will bring fruits.

Katerina, I have had similar results with

the numbness fading after eating a good diet and LDN, when stressed or stressed

thoughts it comes back. However, I would like to learn what BBD stands

for. Please share! I also take a fare amount of supplements and was

curious what you alternative doctor recommends and why. Very encouraging to

here of your success.
