At my house, this meant we ate fat without mito cocktail.

This meant yeast overgrowth, and occasionally intolerance, at my house.

Thanks Dana, I'll start looking for Mito cocktail.

As for yeast overgrowth that lead to easy hair follicle infection when

I sweat, I've tried GSE with NoPhenol in the past (for a period of

about 10 days). Perhaps I'll revisit the GSE+NoPhenol protocol

for a longer duration. The GSE really makes my throat super

uncomfortable

Thanks

Hi,

It wasn't butterfish that you ate was it? I've read that eating that fish can

cause the expulsion of an oily substance in a way that cleans a fatty liver.

of Omega?)

Sorry this is gross & offtopic.I swallowed about 3-4 capsules of Omega fish oil

to help meprepare for an exam & during the buffet lunch in the hotel, Iate

purely steamed cod fish (about 1 kg of it). Then I ended up with a strange

diarrhoe : the stools are well-formed but accompanying it are lots of reddish

orange oil.I knew it's oil because it floats in the water & needs soap toflush

out the bowl.I heard on this list before that overdose of Omega 3 canresult in

passing of oil.I was also on antibiotics for the last 4-5 weeks (Cipro

& Doxycycline) for skin infections for the last few weeks, the antibiotics did not

have any adverse effects but helpedprevented new skin infections (I have

sensitive hair folliclesthat gets infected easily when I sweat)I've went to see

the medical doctor & he gave me lots ofactivated carbon - I swallowed 4 each

time, 3 times/day & it did not seem to help. Also took loparamide (but thisis for

loose stools but my stools are not loose).Any suggestions? This is the end of

3rd day I'm gettingthis " leaking oil " symptom.ThanksU[Non-text portions of this

Hi Gail,

I'm not sure if it's butterfish.

Just beside the tray which hold the fish fillet, it's stated

as " Cod fish " . I must say it's rather oily fish but due to the

seasoning of the source, I can't be 100% sure it's cod fish

but the texture tastes sort of like cod fish.

I felt better this morning & no further expulsion of the orange

oil anymore after frequent high dosing (4-5 tablets each time

just before each meal) of activated carbon.

Thanks

You can try something else for yeast, like oil of oregano.

Intolerances can also cause infected hair follicles, so it might be

that also.

The term " mito cocktail " is not widely used in the commercial setting,

so you probably won't find a combination product labeled with that

term. I wrote on this page, what it generally includes.

Hi Gail,

I've googled & found the description of orange oil in anal

discharge fits exactly the symptoms I'm going through :

http://gothamist.com/2008/02/13/beware_the_butt.php

http://www.poopreport.com/Consumer/mystery_orange_oil.html

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/archive/index.php/t-478073.html

Butterfish is also known as escolar. The taste of the fish

that I ate the other day is kind of " butter " / " creamy " rich.

I'm just concerned if this incident has any adverse effect on

me other than expulsion of oil. You mentioned " in a way that

cleans a fatty liver " . Where did you see this.

Just want to explore if there's any other side effects which

I need to be aware of.

As described in the 2nd link above, little wonder both the

medical doctors I visited (of the same clinic) did not appear

to have much of a clue.

As described in the 3rd link above, the orange oil stains the

fabric permanently - the usual detergent can't remove it.

Exactly what I'm experiencing.

There was a case here where a supermarket sold " fake " cod

fish & it turns out to be some sort of China imported fish.

Hmmm didn't expect a posh hotel would serve this fish.

Thanks

Hi ,

Found the source of my info - it's a self published book on tongue diagnosis by

Teckwah Mah - the author talks about his chance discovery of the effect of

eating more than 200 gm of butterfish - the next day a thick layer of oil was

passed out - it was yellow like melted butter but had a fishy smell. He got his

friends to try it out and they worked out you needed at least 200 gms to get the

effect. Eating it regularly resulted in smaller amounts of the oily substance

passed out each time, eventually only a couple of very light yellow oil drops

would be seen in the toilet bowl. One of his aquaintances with a fatty liver

used it and passed out lots of black and smelly stuff...
