I have been on LDN (3.5mgs)for FMS, MPS, and probably some reminents

of RA, since May. I also had low thyroid and taking Armour thyroid

75mgs. In mid June my dr. checked my thyroid and the T3 was slightly

elevated. So, I cut the thyroid med back to 60mgs. But I was

fatigued and my finger nails got very dry and horrible verticle

ridges--a sign of low thyroid. So, I went back to the 75mgs.

Well, about the last 3 weeks I have been having a real problem

getting any sleep--waking several times during the night, what I was

getting seemed like twi-light type sleep, and I was really tired out.

All of this while taking Lunesta for sleep as well. Findly it dawned

on me, maybe my thyroid was getting too active. I cut the med back

to 60mgs 3 days ago and I am getting some good restful sleep again.

Probably in about another month, I need to get the thyroid checked

again.

Now, has anyone that has cut their thyroid med had problems with the

bad ridges in nails coming back when reducing the med?

I am really " wowed " by my thyroid getting better. This shows me that

what is said about LDN is true! I have been on Armour Thyroid for 11

years. My FMS/MPS is greatly improved as well, as well as my

digestive issues seem to be history! I still have food sensitivities

that will cause trigger points. Hopefully, over time this also will

be corrected. I notice I can eat these foods in moderation now--they

are many of my favorites--so it is tough not to " pig out " :).

Has anyone had food sensitivities be corrected?

Thank you for this sight--so informative. Elaine in MI.
