Guest guest
Hi Thanks - ds has been hyperventilating months before we went to the mountain resort. Hyper-ventilating did not get worse, just tt he looked more pale when he's up there in the mountain resort & we noticed his appetite dropped a lot (consuming about 20% of what he used to eat). However the nanny just told us a couple of days ago that his appetite deteriorated a couple of weeks ago ie before we go up to the mountain resort. His appetite improved considerably the last 1.5 days of the stay in the resort & his chirpiness returns - we now suspect possibly he's suffering from car-sickness as we drove round the bends & curves to go up the mountain/clouds. We're back home 15 hours ago & his appetite is as good as usual - the MD explained his appetite issue could have to do with some passing infection but his hyperventilation persists. Going to send his urine for a pH test tomorrow. Thanks for all the responses G On 12/16/07, hco101@... <hco101@...> wrote: > > Is this altitude sickness? Pulmonary Edema? Guest guest
Children breathe faster than adults. Count their respiration when at rest and check with the doctor what it should be. Anemic people have pale lips and skin. Compare to other kids. Andy > > Is this altitude sickness? Pulmonary Edema? Hyperventilation may be an attempt to get more oxygen. Esp if child is anemic. Guest guest
Hi gol sun. I've been going through your posts to try to find results of any adrenal testing, especially aldosterone. Could you tell me that his aldosterone is OK ? Mo
