Guest guest
My 25 year old son is autistic. He is forced to stay in a residential placement far from home. Yesterday I sent an e-mail to the home recommending he be seen by a homeopath or other complementary therapist as antipsychotic drugs seem to offer him no benefit. Today I called to speak with my son. A senior member of staff at the placement informed me my son has been getting mercury and that was in keeping with my outlook. I was shocked! I asked for the qualification of the person who decided to give him mercury. It seems clear the person is not a doctor but the member of staff did not know what the professional qualification of this person was. I cannot understand why I was never told this person was involved with my son. I cannot understand why I was never told of her recommendation. I cannot understand why my view was never sought. I cannot understand why I was not informed when he started being given mercury. Why the secrecy? If you have any thoughts or suggestions please share them with me. Thank you.
