Guest guest
Please forward …. I am the foster and adoptive home recruiter for the Louisiana Department of Social Services and currently working with ph who has autism. ph was removed from his family because of abuse/neglect and is currently freed for adoption and is in need of a patient, committed loving family to support him. I am searching for resources for him, specifically a family that is interested in adopting ph and becoming his forever family. Attached is a flyer about ph, which describes him briefly and provides information on who to contact. In reading the mission statement on your website, “advocating on behalf of those cannot fight for their own rights†and " encourage those in the autism community to never give up in their search to help their loved ones reach their full potential " , I knew I needed to forward information to you about ph. I was hoping that you could forward information about ph to your association in the hope that someone would be interested in providing ph a permanent family. For more information about adoption in Louisiana, you can visit our website at www.dss.state.la.us <http://www.dss.state.la.us/> . If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or ph's adoption worker, Robson. Sincerely, Jay Neu /Adoptive Home Recruiter Louisiana Department of Social Service. (337) 262-5970 or 1-800-256-8611 ph or “JB†which he likes to be called is a sweet and very affectionate eight-year-old child. While JB is active and likes to be outdoors, he also loves to watch cartoons on TV, especially Spiderman. Having autism has only amplified JB’s desire and need to have a family of his own. Currently JB is in 3rd grade special education classes and needs a patient, committed, loving family to support JB in his future. Even though JB’s verbal skills are very poor, he will let you know when he wants his favorite foods like bananas or chocolate ice cream. For more information on JB, please contact Amada Robson, the Adoption Specialist at the Lafayette Regional Office of the Louisiana Department of Social Services. Call 1-800-256-8611 or (337) 262-5970.
