OT: accurate mercury-free thermometer?

Someone asked me if I know of an accurate mercury-free (body) thermometer. She

says her digital isn't very accurate/precise. I have a digital but haven't used

a thermometer myself in decades. The ear one I tried once gave wildly different

readings in each of my ears, so I personally don't recommend those.
