Guest guest
Sounds a lot like chemical sensitivity to me. Try some emulsified oregano oil or give him grapefruit juice several times a day, and/or give him naicinamide 250-500 mg 3-4 times a day. Also if he hasn't had an EEG, see if you can get him one, if he has had it, get the neurologist's intepretive report and don't believe anything any doctor tells you about it - you want the page or 2 letter report the neurologist wrote summarizing the EEG findings. This will be in his chart at whichever doctor did the EEG and the one that referred him for it. He needed to be treated for yeast all the time for years, no breaks, no matter what diet he was on. Not Diflucan all the time though -- I used GSE, oil of oregano, Biocidin, Thorne's SF722, and tanalbit. I rotated every few weeks but Andy later pointed out that rotating only give the yeast a chance to bounce back, so if I had it to do over again I'd find 2-3 things that work and stick with them. What finally got rid of yeast was getting through enough chelation. By abut round 50-60 it was quite manageable. Nell
Guest guest
My son has been on varying antifungals for a year now. We rotate the ones he's on under the supervision of his DAN! Doctor. He does great on, regresses almost immediately when off. What they are finding is, the yeast (or whatever organism is the issue) grows a biofilm on top of themselves, so the antifungals can keep it down, but whenever you stop, you get it right back. They are developing a new protocol for this involving stripping the biofilm, killing the yeast, then using charcoal for the clean up. This might be why your child did well on the diflucan, but the issue came right back. We have yet to start it, there were a few other things that came up in the testing that we have to take care of first. /message/213277 It should be approached cautiously as with everything, but we're doing this with our DAN! doctor, whom we trust completely. > > > > My son has been treated biomedically by Pfeiffer but lately we have > > seen little results and have been tapering off the medications. Guest guest
Is this the one where they use Mucostop enzymes? What is the timing of the chelator and what chelator do they suggest using? Guest guest
He can't have oregano or grapefruit. Are those the same as the oils? What does a chemical sensitivity look like and what chemicals should I be looking for? What is naicimamide? And, what would I look for in the EEG? > > > > My son has been treated biomedically by Pfeiffer but lately we have > > seen little results and have been tapering off the medications. Guest guest
What I mean is that with his salicylate intolerances he responds horribly to oregano and graprefruit (both of which are very high). Even with no-phenol he has insomnia and is even more aggressive. Biocidin is okay because it is a mixture but it tends to bring the aggressiveness out in him as well. He is also on a probiotic that we combine with his yogurt. > > > > > > My son has been treated biomedically by Pfeiffer but lately we have > > > seen little results and have been tapering off the medications. Guest guest
My two cents is try some folic acid. I noticed he is on GFCF diet. Therefore, if he doesn't eat peanut butter or some dark green leafy vegatables, he does not have any source of folic acid. Folic acid deficiency can cause aggression, hyperness, and most if not all things you have described. It is very safe. It can only cause problem in the presence of a B12 deficiency which is not very likely. I am guessing your son eats a lot meat and B12 is stored in the body for some time. It is worth the try. My prayers and best wishes, Kaylee > > > > > > > > My son has been treated biomedically by Pfeiffer but lately we have > > > > seen little results and have been tapering off the medications. Add back a yeast protocol, including biotin, which the body uses to keep yeast under control http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm > spinning > throat noises > huge increase in aggressiveness (hitting, kicking, pinching, > scratching, and self talk (he talks his way through the violent thoughts) > impulsiveness > incessant laughter > nonstop chatter > hyperactivity and restlessness...can't sit still for more than a > second and can't concentrate These meant yeast overgrowth at my house. Some of them meant other things also. Dana
