daughter got that needed antibiotics

[ ] Rash after starting saunas

hey all

i've done roughly 10 saunas over the past two months or so. What i

noticed is that i'm getting rashes now, from my clothes, like shirts

and such irritate my skin. it turns red, is kinda burny and itchy,

not raised.. but i'm wondering what is causing this? Anybody with

sauna experience know what this is? Is it toxins coming to the skin

and i need to do MORE saunas to rid myself of the rash? or is it

mercury? or is it my skin being irritated from the saunas?

i didn't have this before i started doing the saunas, but i haven't

done one in a while, few weeks i believe.. but still having the rash

trouble which really popped up over the past few days.. any ideas?

i have a lot of food allergies, i hope i'm not getting allergic to my

clothes? that would be rediculous.

please help

Hi I forgot the name it was years ago but you may want to look into this just in

case. Its

" Hot Tub Rash " Pseudomonas Dermatitis / Folliculitis. Maybe there is something

similar you can get from saunas?? Not an expert just tryin to help : )

Do you shower off well afterwards?

Maybe you're moving some mercury and stirring up viral activity. My son gets

rashes from viruses.

After your sauna do you take a hot shower and soap up your entire

body? This is important to rinse the toxins off your skin. Also

putting on clean clothes afterwards..even sock. Pretty much whatever

you wore in the sauna is " hazmat " and goes directly to the wash, the

towel too.

Other suggestion..what are you washing your clothes with? Switch to

vinegar and baking soda. No commercial detergent or fabric softener

and NO bleach. Many people become very sensitive to the chemicals in

them when they are detoxing. Bleach can have traces of mercury and

thus be really a problem.

Also, yeast can be a problem too, I had this happen myself, I was

getting red, itchy, burning underarms when after my amalgams were out

and I was doing saunas. I had to change my deodorant to all natural

Tom's of Maine. Regular stuff contains aluminum. So very much a no-no.

Then I also had to begin to use liquid Grapefruit seed extract to wash

my underarms..this killed the yeast. The rash went away.

Jada,

after i did a sauna i would take a shower in the showers this place i go to

has right inside the sauna.. I never used soap though.. is that a big problem?

i would put on clothes that i did NOT where in the sauna..

as for my clothes i use CHEER... is that bad? when you say people become

sensitive to chemicals when they're detoxing, does that mean by JUST using a

sauna? because this definitely started when i began saunas.. a little at first,

but now a lot... the big question is, should i continue to do SAUNAS? will this

hurt me or help me? if so, how long do i have to do them before this stops

happening? also, if it is related to detoxing, why is my skin reacting this

way?

i should mention, that i use to get this same type of small tiny red markings

(rash) on my stomach growing up when i would keep a certain type of blanket next

to my stomach/chest... but now that rash seems to be out of control.. i

already have a leaky gut and food allergies.. i just hope it's not a food that's

causing it or something... but then again it seems to be directly related to

wearing clothing, especially my shirts.. i hope i'm not allergic to cotton....

ugh..

thanks for the help

Okay , think this through.

If you are detoxing, your body is moving heavy metals through. People who are

toxic are much more prone to allergies etc. So . . .your body may be having a

hard time as the metals are moving.

So yes, switch to the free and clear versions of detergents or the natural

options and soap off with natural soaps after the sauna. Wash your clothes and

towels separately in the washing machine. Use aloe or whatever on your rash.

When our kids use DMSA or other chelating agents, a lot of them get what we moms

have called " a mercury rash. " Bear with it and keep detoxing and if it gets too

bad, take a break for awhile.

Make sure the sauna you are using does not have toxic glues in it!!!! Some do

and the users get sicker!

i am actually trying washing a shirt in just water right now.. going to see

how that rests with my skin.. the rash goes away if i take my shirt off... but

then i freeze! i think i'm going to go back and take another sauna... but

since i stopped for 2 weeks and it got worse, does that mean stuff was moved to

the skin and is festering there?

also, how do i know if there's toxic glue in the sauna?

thanks

Soap is needed to wash whatever toxins you sweated out off the skin.

These were the directions given to me by my Integrative Physician who

treated me for amalgams. She removed them and prescribed sauna and

skin brushing. So you need to soap. The clothes you put on should be

ones that you did not wear yet. A fresh from the laundry set.

Ditch the Cheer. If it's seems directly related to your shirts...no

one is allergic to cotton, just the stuff it's washed in. Sometimes

companies change the ingredients in a detergent that you have used for

years without a problem. They don't tell us they do this, but then you

begin to have a problem. I recomend for anyone the baking soda and

vinegar. It's very cheap...and completely hypoallergenic. You don't

want any bleaches, whitners, scents, bluing agents, softners or any of

the other toxic junk they put in laundry detergent.

At best you can use Borax Mule Team, or Arm and Hammer Washing Soda.

See if washing your clothes in the baking soda/vinegar for a while

changes things. And the soapy shower after sauna.

Continuing with the saunas...hmmm. You may want to reduce them or wait

to see if you can get the rash under control or pinpoint the cause.

Sauna's are good and beneficial to anyone. However, you want to go

slow with them and of course, if you do have a problem like

this..figure out if that is it or not.

When you do a sauna you will excrete many body toxins out through your

pores and sweat glands. This is good for the body, but can make

problems for sensitive skin, if those toxins are not removed with

soap/water afterwards. Did you recently have amalgams out? Are you

chelating also? Or just doing saunas. When you have fillings removed

you set the cycle in place to begin to dump heavy metals. So you'd be

dumping things you didn't before. Your skin might not like it much.

Many people experience skin rashes and such from this. It's like

spilling some cleaner on your skin and not washing it

off....irritating. So you must wash this stuff away.

Try the soapy showers..washing every inch you can with soap after the

sauna. And stop the Cheer, try the vinegar/baking soda. Just pour some

of each into the washer when it is filling up and then put the clothes

in. And contrary to what you might think..the clothes do not smell

like vinegar when they are done. Actually, I was very surprised myself

how clean they do come out. See if this helps.

overall the saunas are good for you, but you want to live comfortable

too so getting to the bottom of the rash is important.

Be sure you have not gotten any New shirts, or any that are stain

resistant or " wrinkle free " . They are chemically treated.

Any new foods? What kind of diet are you on? Just things to think

of..sometimes it helps if someone helps you brainstorm for possible

causes.

Jada

thanks for the help

i actually am not on any chelating drugs nor have i ever had any amalgam

fillings in my mouth. my diet is pretty much the same, nothing new.. i have

leaky gut so i'm getting new food allergies often, but those symptoms from the

food allergies were never skin related in the slightest... all this started

with the saunas...

is it possible that my skin is being irritated because its been dried out or

something from the sauna?

the only possible explanations i can think of are 1. new food allergy causing

it (which again i'm iffy about) 2. sauna moved toxins out of skin irritating it

(and there still there?) 3. allergic to detergent now (becomming MCS?)

that's a big worry for me, getting chemically sensitive to stuff.. but could a

sauna spark that? if so, is doing more saunas the only way to get it out? i

know you said hold off until you find the cause and i will.. but the first thing

i should do is change detergent and soap? or should i not worry about soap..

what is a good soap to use anyway for my hair/body? something natural, not sure

what brands though.. also what about lotion if my skin feels dry/irritated?

hope i didn't forget anything here..

thanks

That sure sounds like detergent issues. Have you tried any aloe on your skin?

Well, you can tell us who the manufacturer is and someone might know. Heavenly

Heat is great--that's what we have.

Or you can research online.
