Guest guest
Sounds very unusual as the endorphins should lift mood, not depress it. Are you taking anything else that may be interacting with the LDN? Nausea possibly means you are having problems with the filler in the capsules. If it doesn't abate you may have to try changing fillers, though some people apparently do suffer a little initial nausea as a result of their body trying to adjust to the extra endorphins. m_j_heaton wrote: > Hi, > I just started taking LDN three nights ago, at the lower dosage of > 3mg. Guest guest
I am not taking anything which should interact with the LDN. I do take finasteride (proscar), if you know what that is. I really can't see how thi depression could be related to anything else. Are the generic naltrexone tablets from alldaychemist.com known to be legit? > > Sounds very unusual as the endorphins should lift mood, not depress it. > Are you taking anything else that may be interacting with the LDN? > Nausea possibly means you are having problems with the filler in the > capsules. Guest guest
Depression is not a usual side-effect of LDN but it occurs to me that it could be due to the lack of sleep you're experiencing as you adjust to taking it. Sleep deprivation can certainly make me put a negative spin on everything. I hope you're doing better. Toni

Guest guest
Hi m_j I think that sometimes when we start something new -- as in starting LDN therapy -- we are hyper vigilant to all our body sensations...wondering if this-or-that is a side-effect. So this depression feeling may actually NOT be a new feeling. ??? Dunno... just a suggestion. You should pretty quickly start to feel a better sense of well-being. I also think that if you aren't having optimal sleep quality...then that also has an impact on your mood. I do hope you feel better soon. Best wishes... Guest guest
I actually found that I slept easier after my first dose. I seem to be having the opposite symptoms to what are expected. > > Hi m_j > > I think that sometimes when we start something new -- as in starting > LDN therapy -- we are hyper vigilant to all our body > sensations...wondering if this-or-that is a side-effect. Guest guest
Hi m_j, Some people do have opposite reactions from the norm, for many different medications. For instance, I can't use codeine cough syrups before bed. It keeps me awake all night long, whereas most people are knocked out cold by codeine. So you could be right about sleeping better on LDN. Best of Luck, > > > > Hi m_j > > > > I think that sometimes when we start something new -- as in starting > > LDN therapy -- we are hyper vigilant to all our body > > sensations...wondering if this-or-that is a side-effect. Guest guest
The 4.5 mg made me feel depressed too, and spaced-out and tired. Now I'm taking 2.25 (half of the 4.5 mg) and it's having the opposite effect - making me feel happy and waking up relaxed etc. I think if you're sensitive to medication like me, the higher dose might block the opiod receptors for longer than in other people, leading to depression. > > > > Hi, > > I just started taking LDN three nights ago, at the lower dosage of > > 3mg.
