Guest guest
Today at the park, my youngest ate a goldfish cracker another little girl gave her. She is a severe food reactor and should have needed an epipen and a trip to the ER. I thought for sure one of us was going to die but she didn't react badly at all! For about 2 hours after, she chewed like mad on her clothes (not something she ever does) and covered her ears and said ordinary noises were " loud " . I have not seen acid diarrhea (yet) or any gut problems although she was a tiny bit emotional this evening. I will update if she develops any GI symptoms in the next few days, but am so excited that she handled this infraction so well!!! Not too long ago, this would have been catastrophic for her!! She's really coming a long way. I found it interesting (and disturbing) to see her reaction of sensory overload and chewing. In our house chewing on clothing has always been a zinc deficiency; but today it was clearly evident that it was a food intolerance (or chemical intolerance - who knows what all was in that cracker! Blech!). Wyndie
