Guest guest
The Triad Test at Metametrix is a good overview profile to do. It includes an Organic Acids profile (urine), food allergy testing and amino acids. Add on Fatty Acid Profile (blood) and urinary porphyrins and you will have an overall picture of what is happening. If there are red flags, you can always do more. _http://www.metametrix.com/content/DirectoryOfServices/0400TRIADProfile-BloodU rine_ (http://www.metametrix.com/content/DirectoryOfServices/0400TRIADProfile-BloodUri\ ne) Regarding the frozen blood; certain tests actually call for freezing, but usually after centrifuge. You can call one of the labs to ask that question.' Good luck A. Guest guest
Hi Since my spouse is a thalassemia carrier, we thought we should get our ASD 7yo son tested. What other blood tests are good to do - we don't want to have to draw more blood from him in future as he is getting bigger & more difficult to handle/hold? Appreciate if anyone can suggests if the following are good to have : a) IgG, IgE blood tests & good labs to use Food allergy tests (synonymous to IgG & IgE?) c) Oxidative test or glutathione level tests (by Smokies Lab or Dr Jill ?) d)nutrient deficiency - I recalled someone mentioned before on this list that there's a test which measures how much mineral/nutrients is a person deficient so that we can customize a vitamin+mineral+...(amino acids?) + ..... to suit the person? Is this test done at Pfeiffer Institute? e) Sugar level test if any? f) Thyroid, T3, ...... level? g) any other tests worth doing? Can extra blood be drawn, frozen & in case future tests are needed, we just test the frozen/dried blood? Any suggestions on how best to draw blood from an uncooperative 1.37meter tall kid is most welcomed Thanks G
