Hi Andy;

Thank you for your help and support. Based on your advice; we have

started our 3.5 year old son on:

Zinc 25mg 3 times daily with meal

Molybdenum 250mcg 4 times daily

Vitamin C 300mg 2 times daily

However, I am still confused on the DDI hair element test results for

my son. Since my son did not meet the counting rule; does it mean we

can rule out mercury toxicity issue or mercury still is an issue?

The hair element test result can be viewed by clicking on the

According to the report, my son, however, has Aluminum (16, ref range

<8.0, yellow). Also Tin is (0.56, ref range <0.30, yellow). In one of

your earlier posts, you stated, " Aluminum and Tin do go up when

Mercury is messing with mineral transport even if it hasn't messed it

up enough for the counting rules

to be set off yet. "

What confuses me further is that, before joining the

group and starting the chelation (DMSA+ALA) on AC protocol, an

alternate medicine doctor did a muscle test on my son and the mercury

test came positive. Also he did a challenge test (I know we should've

not done it; but at that time we were just following doctor's

direction), on that challenge test, the urine test result did show

that some mercury was dumped – but not in huge quantity though.

Based on what I have stated above, do you think, my son may have

mercury toxicity issues as well as copper toxicity issues? Should we

continue doing DMSA+ALA chelation (or maybe just drop ALA and continue

with DMSA only)?

Sorry, if I'm repeating the same questions again. But I just want to

get my mind focused on the right treatment.

As always, thanks a lot for your support.

When I click on the link I get " The document you requested could not

be found. "

While you are waiting for Andy to reply I can clarify a couple of points.

Not meeting the counting rules does not rule out mercury toxicity.

There are many case reports in the archives here where the child's

hair test didn't meet the counting rules at first. There are several

reasons why this can happen.

The muscle test and the challenge test are not very meaningful.

What would be meaningful is if you do a trial of chelation (AC

protocol) and get side effects or improvements with chelation. These

confirm toxicity. Be sure that there are no amalgams in the child's

mouth and no sources of exposure (recent vaccines) before doing a

trial of chelation.

Are you chelating with DMSA and ALA now, and how is your child responding?

How high was the copper on the hair test?

Thanks for your response.

If the link is not working, you can go to file sections and in the

test results folder, look up the file called, TS-Hair Element Results.pdf

Actually, we have been doing chelation (DMSA+ALA); we have completed 9

rounds on AC protocol. We have not seen any improvement nor any

regression. Since the chelation so far is not producing any results,

does it mean that my son is not mercury toxic but is only copper

toxic? My son's copper reading is 43 (Ref: 8-16). There are no amalgam

fillings and no recent vaccinations.

Thanks,
