Guest guest
Hi .... I was in the same boat....now things are better. My hair is fuller, thicker and shinier than ever. Stick to the diet, it may take awhile--one month per year of being ill... so I also have a ways to go, but it works. I also use coconut oil on my hair at night....and as a night time moisturizer. Give it a shot and hand in there! Love, Debra --------------------------------- Sponsored Link Try Netflix today! With plans starting at only $5.99 a month what are you waiting for? I have had three different thyroid tests done that all come back normal but I know that I have adrenal fatigue and thyroid issues. The candida toxins make your cells go rigid and do not allow the hormones to get into the cells where they are needed. You still have them in your bloodstream hence the normal blood work, however they are just not getting into the cells causing your hair loss. This will subside in time with strick compliance to the diet which will help to heal your thyroid and adrenals. Any time I have deviated though my hair falls out so I have a powerful incentive to adhere. Hang in there, this will pass. Shirley
Guest guest
Thanks, Shirley. That makes perfect sense! That is what I have been wondering about. Thanks for your response. I do have a question, though. Can hair falling out be a form of die off? Because I just can't figure out why at the height of my candida my hair never fell out but since my counts have gone down and I have been very strict with the diet, my hair has started falling out. It seems like it would be the opposite unless it was a form of die off. Thanks for any and all thoughts, > >I was diagnosed with candida in July. Guest guest
Hi , I've had this problem, but always thought it was from plucking them too short in High School (30 years ago). The more I read I realize that it's just another symptom of this. Beth [ ] Re: hair falling out Hi , I was wondering if anyone has had problems with their eyebrows falling out or thinning. It seems like it would be the opposite unless it was a form of die off. Thanks for any and all thoughts, ==>, when you go on my strict diet it kills off candida which puts out more toxins = die-off. The body tries to get rid of these toxins as best it can, mostly externalizing them to the skin or any oriface. These interfere with normal hair growth, damage the follicles and make your hair fall out. I had very long hair when I cured my candida in the mid 1980s. Whenever I combed or brushed it large clumps would come out. It stopped happening about 3/4 of the way through my cure, which took me 2 1/2 years. So this too shall pass. I just needed confirmation. This whole thing has been so life changing and sometimes my head is just left spinning from all of the new information and changes that are going on that I am left to wonder what is really going on. I am thankful for this group and all of the responses b/c I have had such mixed responses from those who are healthy. I have really been surprised at how some of my friends just don't want to hear about it. And now I feel like I have so much to offer in the way of health to those who just don't know what they are doing to their bodies and their children's. I am sure others in the group have had similar situations too. Anyway, thanks for your diligence in responding and maintaining this group. But not everyone is going to listen and we need to understand that. My own daughter won't heed my wise advise. I cring everytime I go to her house and see the hugh bottle of Canola Oil and the margarine on the counter. I've sent her short articles on Butter is Better, etc. and talked with her but her and her husband won't listen. Her husband has numerous allergies and symptoms of candida, but I have to sit by and just watch. It's heartbreaking. Luv, Bee
Guest guest
> > I think that when the out edge starts to fall out/thin its signs of > thyroid issues ==>Phil, I agree that the thyroid is involved too. Almost all candida sufferers have thyroid issues because candida toxins make all of the body's cells go rigid so even if the thyroid is putting out hormones they are not as able to get into the cells where they are needed. This program cures that problem. The best, Bee >

Guest guest
Hi: I've noticed that in the past few month Mickie's hair has been falling out in patches. When I first noticed it in the spring the patches where small and few and now they are bigger and more spread out. I am so frustrated and worried. He has been on vitamin and mineral supplements for the last 6 years. So whatever he doesn't get with his food, he gets from the supplements. He doesn't chew or talk, still in Dypers. Eats blended foods. In fact he is doing worse now then he was at the time of diagnosis when he was 2 years old. My question is: Can hair start falling off even years after exposure to Mercury? I would really appreciate any information on this. Thank you, Zurama Autism took Mickie
Guest guest
I wouldn't trust your thyroid being " perfect " . What thyroid tests did you have done? TSH only? There are of course other things that can make hair fall out that I've heard of, low ferritin (this may be what you mean by iron deficiency?), low B-12, low vit D, and unbalanced sex hormones. Assuming your thyroid is ok, investigate some of the other causes. But from my reading low thyroid one of the most common problems with hair falling out. BTW, I am definitely hypothyroid, have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and yet doctors told me my thyroid function was normal for umpteen years, leaving me untreated. My mom was right, doctors were wrong. LOL. sol roseandivano wrote: > for the last few weeks my hair has been falling out like crazy..and I > had my thyroid checked and it was perfect. > I am feeling a little fatigued and still treating the candida, any > ideas what this could be. could it be iron deficiency??? > any suggestions, what should I do the doctor can't see me till the end > of june > >
Guest guest
Rose, On Mystry Diagnosis (TV show), this lady was horribly sick. Lossing hair, totally fatigued, couldn't get up off the couch, skin was dry and flakey, etc. She went form dr. to dr., to dr. for TWO years. Then she had only ONE more dr. to try and that would be the end of the road. Well that dr. looked over all the test that the other Dr.'s had done. This last dr. did NOT run a single test on her cause her problem showed up on the test that all the other dr.'s had run and they just over looked it. It WAS her thyroid and the previous dr. should have caught that. So I would have another dr. check you for thyroid issues. Also stress can make your hair fall out. I know it does me. Guest guest
My hair was falling out because of the Candida. I'm hypo also, but I got my thyroids under control after seeing 7 to 8 doctors who told me my thyroid was perfect. My weight gain and illness was all in my head. They told me to go home and quit eating so much. But I found a doctor from the website below. I would find a Thyroid specialist, try this web site. Look under your state for the nearest thyroid doctor. http://thyroid.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ & sdn=thyroid & zu=h ttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.thyroid-info.com%2Ftopdocs.htm and while your looking for a thyroid specialist try taking 10,000 mcg Biotin capsules. It helps me. Guest guest
Rose, and anyone who may be on a statin drug should be advised that hair loss is a major side effect, the other major one being sudden death due to heart attack caused by cell death resulting from depletion of coenzyme Q10 in the major oxygenated areas, the brain included. I just pointed that out to my old editor and when he discontinued the lipitor, which doesn't lend any biological support anyway, the hair loss ceased in days Duncan > > for the last few weeks my hair has been falling out like crazy..and I > had my thyroid checked and it was perfect. > I am feeling a little fatigued and still treating the candida, any > ideas what this could be. could it be iron deficiency??? > any suggestions, what should I do the doctor can't see me till the end > of june > > thanks > Rose >
Guest guest
I have a thyroid specialist and he's very good, I got my tsh and t3 and everything looks good, I take armour...I don't really feel the symptoms are thyroid related though, because I know what they are like I have suffered hypothyroidism for about 10 years now. it's just the hair falling so much it's freaking me out, and I just look paler in the face. Guest guest
Hello, I have been noticing every time I brush my hair I am left with a very large handful of hair. Is this a sign of hypothyroid? I began noticing a tingling and itching probably about a year and a half ago and some hair loss then so I had a blood test for thyroid and it was within the normal range. I am without insurance and living below poverty but if a saliva test is less expensive and as accurate as further thyroid blood test I will try it. I am close to 20 years post menopausal so I was thinking it could have something to do with hormones. It seems like my hair has grown at least 4 ins since July so maybe my estrogen is still ok. I'm interested in bio identical hormones. Does anyone have any suggestions and ideas of professionals to contact? And whether hair anaylsis is more telling than saliva test. I'm getting the feeling I better do something soon. Not just because of the hair but more about what lays beneath. thank you Chitra
