Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: Amy BTW, even after having his seizure/stroke, we still didn't give up on the protocol. We were trying our best to keep doing it. Round 3, the first night, we made it half way through before we had to stop. Round 4, only made it through that day. Round 5, the same as Round 4. We did not give up on it. Still, after not being able to make it whole rounds, he said his first sentences after that 5th round. He said " I gotta go " and " I got it. " This was huge gains! Thats why I was wondering about doing a one day dosing. Can it still work? ====>Amy, I know that chelating kids with seizures is tricky business and you have to be extra, extra careful. When you start chelating and moving metals around seizures will often increase, even though as you report, **you were getting improvements on the 3/4 hour dosing**. With seizure kids it's important to give more time between rounds taking it very easy; like 3/11 rounds or 3/19 rounds. I have heard Andy say that 24 hour rounds were " okay " for kids who were having an especially rough time and that is what I hear you reporting. As far as doing anything less than 24 hours it might be useful for you to send your post number to Andy personally as he would be the best person to answer this. His email addy is andycutler@... I've known kids to lose their seizures with chelation on an appropriate dosing schedules of chelators. =====> The reason I never stopped after the seizure, I thought maybe in an odd way, it was doing something for him. Just maybe it wasn't a bad sign. ====>It was doing something for him, something good, but sometimes you have to find a way to get through whatever side effects you are having to figure out a way to do this in a safe way. And, btw, thanks for posting, I'm glad you did. Who knows what other parent/child we may be helping by our continued discussion?
