Andy Pl: Is Entocort ok while chelating?

I have to take Entocort (Budesonide) - an alternative to prednisone

for a Crohn's flare up. It will be for two months - first month dosage

will be 6mg daily and then reduced to 3mg for the 2nd month. I have

just finished my 5th round of DMPS (6.25, 6.25, 10, 10, 12.5). Is it

safe to take the Entocort? I avoid Prednisone due to side effects (the

last time I had to take it was for my second resection surgery about

four years ago). I took Entocort two years ago for a flare up of

Crohns (6mg for about 2 months) with no ill effects.

Do I need to take Adrenal Cortex Extract also as support? I have never

taken ACE so have no idea how I would react to it.

As safe as prednisone.

If you take adrenal cortex routinely it is less likely you'll have flare ups bad

enough to need

to take steroids. I don't know if it will help with the immediate problem.
